[QUOTE="Symphonycometh"]

[QUOTE="karatemaster"] Your an ignorant person for simply bashing me because i asked why. then to tell me i have no right for you to respect my opinion... grow up already.karatemaster

What are you talking about? I gave the bloody game a 9.5! The points I illustrated were the reasons I didn't give it a perfect ten. But now I'm being called ignorant and crazy because I dare give reasons to why the game isn't perfect? (By the way, tell me where I flamed you in that post. I daresay if anyone is flaming for an opinion, it is you and x8vxu6.) I'll sig you until we clarify this dance.

first off let me say i feel privileged to have my words in your sig. honestly i do. But as for our "dance", i know what you said, so you may deny it but i know what you said earlier.

as for vets leaving, i used to read and contribute here (very little tho lol) a few years ago but gave it up due to the whole flaming/bashing thing and that i could'nt be arsed really. i would'nt call myself a vet tho to be honest lol.

if you care to dance tho, go ahead and do it with some other kid. i've better things do be doing with my time at the moment. so don't be expecting anymore replys from me.

as for this topic/thread, i'm really sorry to everyone (except Symphonycometh) it came a bash-a-ton. but back to topic, i beleive that mgs4 is quite a perfect game for ps3, altho others may agree or disagree. heyy thats whats makes these forums interesting. :)

Please shut the hell up now. You lost your "maturity" points when you neglected to realize that Symph never edited his initial post, so you couldn't possibly have "known what he said" if it wasn't there to begin with. Your like a child. Grow up. Oh, and Symph: Perfection can have its flaws, so I say MGS4 wins. :P

Perfect game? Sure, there's never a perfect game but here's what I'd like: MAG, basically. The betas awesome. But to make it PERFECT? Updated graphics and animations, up to scratch with Crysis. A free mic with the game, and a matchmaking system that puts mics and mics together and non-mics and non-mics together. More of everything - scopes, grips, weapons, skills, levels, players, maps etc. It would also have a map editor because I LOVE those things. Loads more stuff, too. And also, just to promote my current favourite game even more: The perfect game would use whatever servers MAG is using. No lag whatsoever.

a JRPG or WRPG with a lead character of any gender, that you can customize, while being able to make decisions in the game. A story that you woud never forget. Good enough graphics. Smooth framerates, with no lag. optional multiplayer. Not bound by cliched character styles and personalities. Addicting gameplay. with good AI. Awesome boss fights.

OMG, I love these little dances(arguments) yet sadly I can't intervene, I sort of agree with you both.

Although I think there isn't such a thing as a perfect game, I think MGS4 is the one that got the closestand yes, it does have flaws.

I forgot who said it and I'm too lazy to check, but my answer is thatif MGS4 had better graphics then it wouldn't have fit into a blu-ray disc, remember, they had to cut things out for it to fit in the first place. It didn't take that much time just because of the graphics either. AND MGS4's graphics are the best of its time(early 2008), new engines permit for games to have better graphics in less time now. Also keep in mind that there wasn't any CGI in the game, everything was in-game.

I gave the game a 10 because if I gave it a 9.5 people would think I'm not a MGS fan, which I am and I didn't want to give the impression that I liked the game less than the gazillion people who gave it a 10. I was happy GS gave ita 10 though because GTA4 got a 10 a little earlier and I think MGS4 is better.

My perfect game wouldn't be anything similar to MGS4 except for maybe storywise and originality wise. I'm not the future military/stealth type, mine would be much more similar to M0wen's.

First of all, it needs to be a long game. Uncharted was great, but it only takes on average a short 8 hours to complete. At least 40-50 hours long, that way you'll really get your money's worth. (I spent $13 on Tales of Legendia, that game has well over 50 hours, and in the month thatI've had it, I've played it for about 30 hours. I've still got ways to go. Ghostbusters the game cost about $40, and it has a much shorter story mode of about 6 hours which I beat within 2 weeks, now I hardly play it. But still, the campaign was great for what it was.)

It needs to be story driven, half of the reason I kept playing Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Legendia was to find out what happens next because those two games are extremely story driven. Uncharted 1 and 2 also had good storys that made me want to keep going.

Online and offline splitscreen multiplayer for more replay value.

A good soundtrack. Fighting a boss to this music was epic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mswnlFYnT00

Yes, I love Dark Cloud 2! SPheda is the best minigame I've ever come across next to Triple Triad and Blitzball. I've been waiting and hoping there will be a Dark Cloud 3 *hopes Level-5 read that*.

wow, soo many people are missing the point of this thread. No game out right now is perfect, thats why your, suppose to image your ideal game, not your favorite. Im sure while playing U2 or mgs4, there were parts that you would like to have changed, thus the game is not perfect, as no game is.marcl18123

No game is perfect? What's wrong with Uncharted 2?

I can't think of one part of U2 that i'd have changed. The whole game had a pure epic vibe to it, the story kept me engrossed throughout and the puzzles offered a nice change of pace from firefights and platforming. I'm not a huge platformer fan so the linear and fairly easy platforming is fine by me. And the multiplayer is amazing IMO. I personally enjoy it more than MW2 simply because i don't like the whole 'you see first, you kill first' which is normally how it is in COD games.

IMO Uncharted 2 is a perfect game, and as to not being trumped by another game this gen, guess the perfect game will have to be Uncharted 3 then.

Let me start this off by saying that Uncharted 2 is my favorite game of all time and as close to a perfect game as I have ever played, but if you want some complaints, I can give you some complaints: 1) The cover system and platforming is mediocre at best in tight situations and there is absolutely no precision. I frequently find myself frustrated trying to take cover where I want in smaller rooms and areas and have died several times due to the lack of precision in the platforming. 2) The matchmaking system is a complete joke. I'm currently level 46 (I've played a hell of a lot of games) and very few of them have been close matches. The majority of deathmatch games usually end with a difference of about 10 kills, which isn't horrible, but after that, most games are blowouts, and end scores of 50 to 20-30 aren't at all rare. Close games (less than 5 kill difference) are very rare. 3) The melee system online is glitchy and prone to lag. There have been plenty of times where the opponent apparently teleports 5-10 feet to melee me and I miss from 2 feet away. I don't even mind that it takes so long to melee, but it needs to be more accurate and fair. 4) The blast radius of explosives (grenades, grenade launcher, RPG) seems to vary greatly, sometimes even within a single match. I've died from grenades that are 5-10 feet away with full health, and have seen others survive grenades that are 5 feet away or less. However, this is at least fair because I've survived grenades that I thought would kill me and have killed others that I thought would survive the grenade. This isn't as big an issue as the melee because it is generally more consistent. It just pisses me off when I shoot an RPG at someone's feet only to have them come out unharmed and shoot me down with an AK. These are mostly issues with the online, which is still the best online shooter I've played. With this post, I'm just trying to show that even the best games have flaws,.
