I bought one day one and I am loving every bit of it.

I own the ps3 and have had no problems with it as of yet. The line-up from here on out looks amazing so far; the big games are finally coming out. It's unfortunate that you aren't enjoying your system as much as you'd have liked, but I'm sure these upcoming releases will help change your mind.

I'm Canadian too, but I think the lack of Movies Store on Canada's PSN has to do with some stupid laws, because Canada always gets all online stores after US (same goes for iTunes store etc). it just takes longer to process or something in Canada, although i really thought the Movies store would be here by now, but i guess thats how ... annoying our law system is. But I don't see how the laws apply to the PSN cards. there could be something, but I really think this is Sony forgetting Canada

Everyone has their preference. I personally have a PS3, and I enjoy it. I have never felt regret about getting it. About the price cuts, you say Sony just wants more money. In case you didn't know, Sony have made a massive loss with the PS3, they can not afford to cut the price. The technology is the PS3 is also much more advanced than the 360 and the Wii, as we all know more advanced technology results in higher production costs.

I am not saying I am not frustrated that it is so expensive, I wish it was cheaper so more people could enjoy the PS3 as much as I have. I think, the best solution for you is to sell your PS3 and go back to the 360. Maybe after that you'll realise what the PS3 really does have to offer (you don't have what you have till it's gone, right?)

As for upcoming exclusives for PS3:
Resistance 2, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, inFamous, God of War 3, 'Un-announced' Team Ico projects...

Sell it and let us "Uniformed" buyers be with our alien technology console, i suggest you get two 360 so when one rrods on you, you can always send the defective one in and use the other one while its getting repaired and so on and so on. (Raise your hand if you know any 360 owner like this i do)

Quiet frankly i'm more than happy with my ps3 we all had the choice of getting a 360 before we opted for the ps3 and theyre a reason why were in the ps3 section. As informed buyers we weight in the pros and the cons of each system before buying, and in my opinion the ps3 pros outweight the competion, even if we got a lot of delays and what not which is a con but its a better con than having a mediocrely built system.

About the ps3 being expensive its a bargain for what it has and could do, its one of the cheapest bluray players that happen to play games, or its a gaming console that happens to be a high definition player. For 399.99 its a bargain in so many ways with its built in wifi, expandable hardrive (In Microsoft logic think of it like this the new 80gb model is 150.00 of free hardrive space WOW, jab at the rediculous 100.00 20gb hardrive they try to sell you that when installed only give you like 13gb).

Oh and the games are out theyre were getting both of the multiplatform games PLUS some of the best Sony Exclusives just around the corner.

I looked to the PS3 to be better, honestly, horrible lags almost 80% out of 100% is what im usually getting, hardly no downloads or demos, not even good ports of older games. I mean come on Sony, the Xbox had over 300 demos and arcade games, and this was back in April when I had it last, I got on PSN in May and the top demos they have now are still from that month, its freaking almost October! I honestly miss my Xbox, and another thing that has peeved me off beyond belief, the snobbyness and arrogance of Sony has made me want to sell my PS3. Did you hear about the major price cuts of the consoles this fall? Xbox has been reduced to 200$, Wii has been reduced down to a lower price, and the PS3...Sony refuses to lower the price... :|

They refuse! All the money theyve made, they wont let it go under 400 dollars...that is so selfish and so stuck up. Yahoo already said the PS3 is doing horrible in sells, and thats not all. Sony isnt doing hardly anything to rush us anything good. LBP sure, Hopefully Home...okay. But the most games out are ports on the xbox also, nothing exclusive, and dont bash me with the MGS4 game, thats old news, I beat that when it came out. Im looking for something new! Well ya they aren't lowering it because they're losing money already from the Ps3's they sell. They can't afford to have a price drop. It costs more to make it then what they're selling it for... and IMO you're getting a pretty good deal

Heavenly Sword, Disgaea 3, MotorStorm, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Resistance, Wipeout HD, Ratchet & Clank Future, Uncharted, Warhawk, and Metal Gear Solid 4 are all either really good or excellent exclusives available for PS3 right now. Then you have 11 other exclusive titles coming down the pipe that look like they're really gonna propel PS3 into solid competition with 360.

Valkyria Chronicles, White Knight Story, InFamous, God of War 3, SOCOM US Navy Seals: Confrontation, Tekken 6, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, Gran Turismo 5, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, and Little Big Planet. Plenty of exclusives coming for PS3 in the near future to be excited about. With PS3 also getting BioShock and Eternal Sonata here soon, that gives them one of the best games in this generation and a solid RPG... something the PS3 doesn't have alot of surprisingly.

Yeah, PSN may be laggy at times, but it's not nearly as bad as it use to be and you don't have to pay to play. The PSN cards are out now so no more excuses of "I don't have a credit card so I can't get add-ons". It is constantly being updated to be better looking and more easily navigated. You have to remember that Microsoft had 4 years on Sony in regards to a unified network like X-Box Live. So they are gonna be a little behind. But it's not as if PSN is so laggy that it can't be played on. I have a 360 as well and I have experienced just as many issues on my 360. Oh yeah, and not once has my PS3 broken down. My 360? Yeah... twice already.

PS3 will probably always be more expensive than 360. You're just gonna have to deal with that. What's inside the PS3, both in processing power and utility, is of higher quality than what's inside the 360. It's more expensive to produce. You're getting more overall so naturally you're going to pay more. So Sony didn't drop the price this holiday season or at least have announced no plans to... so what? It'll drop in time. Let's not forget what every PS3 comes standard with and what the 360 does not.

i actually got socom from a friend works for 3 people (the buyer and 2 friends) i tried to reserve it but they didnt have any more keys so i didnt reserve itrey931

same thing happened for me, by the time i went to reserve it they were all out of beta codes in 2 separate spots...i have 2 gamestops right next to each other where i'm at.

And to the original poster i definitely think you have valid points in your statements and i somehwat agree, except im happy with my ps3 so far, but i think as far as games go right now its been a pretty dry spell across every platform (x360, ps3, and wii). I think by the end of this year you will have some reason to love your ps3. And sony has cut the prices for the ps3 once, but they make up for cutting them by adding twice the space so we're left with a $399.99 80 gig and $499.99 160 gig which i think is a great price for both, but maybe thats just me. I definitely think the 360 is a great system too, and the only reason i never ended up getting one is the fact that the price after getting all the accessories i would need to bring it up to the out of box standards on the ps3 would be ridiculous (wi-fi adapter, the now defunct hd-dvd add-on, xbox live membership, etc., so in the end i love my ps3 and IN MY OPINION it is the better system

The Sony Playstation 3 is a great system for what you get right out of the box. It has plenty of games exclusive and mutli-platorm as well. Once Home arivves and more games coming with trophys standard will make it seem like not so much as a letdown as you speak of TC. :)

hardly no downloads or demos, not even good ports of older games. I mean come on Sony, the Xbox had over 300 demos and arcade games, and this was back in April when I had it last, I got on PSN in May and the top demos they have now are still from that month, its freaking almost October! and another thing that has peeved me off beyond belief, the snobbyness and arrogance of Sony has made me want to sell my PS3. Did you hear about the major price cuts of the consoles this fall? Xbox has been reduced to 200$, Wii has been reduced down to a lower price, and the PS3...Sony refuses to lower the price... :|They refuse! All the money theyve made, they wont let it go under 400 dollars...that is so selfish and so stuck up. Yahoo already said the PS3 is doing horrible in sells, and thats not all.

Sony is losing the most money per console among the big 3. They're already bending over backwards so you can have it at the price you're getting it at.

Sony isnt doing hardly anything to rush us anything good. LBP sure, Hopefully Home...okay. But the most games out are ports on the xbox also, nothing exclusive, and dont bash me with the MGS4 game, thats old news, I beat that when it came out. Im looking for something new! Xbox has Halo 3, Gears of War, had Bioshock but now is coming to the PS3. But most of the majority has played that game already, we arent getting anything to brag about like the 360.

On Live on Xbox, I had over 100. No exaggeration, we played so many games it wasnt funny, and it was fun. To play and talk to them, my friend and I would always make fun of games like AO2 and Aegis Wing, they were free demos. (Army of 2 by the way)

I honestly miss Halo 3, online playing. I had to pay 7.99 a month, but it was sooo worth it. It 1 out of 10 chances lagged on me. But with this lagfest on PS3, I am more frustrated than having fun, last night I couldnt even get on GTA4, it kept saying trying to connect to game provider, and I was online! Im speaking the complete truth, and if you disagree, your in complete denial.

Well I got GTA IV on 360, but I play MGO just fine on the PS3
