The REAL Reason Why GTA 4 Was DELAYED (Link Inside)

Apparently, although it doesnt officially say this, the reason why the game was delayed is because there was too much open space that was just there in liberty city for no reason. They delayed it to make it smaller but more detailed.....Maybe it was delayed cuz only the ps3 could handle the large map, and cuz of it being multi platform they had to adjust things.........or less likely, it could be cuz the 360 could handle the large maps but the ps3 couldnt....

who cares why it was delayed, as long as it comes out sometime next year I'll be happy.

actually, on gameastura, or how ever it is spelled (a gaming site for developers) there was an article explaining that the reason it was delayed was because of issues porting the game from the x360 to the ps3 and that they weren't going to release the x360 version beforehand.stygiansanity

If that is the reason why and I've posted this comment before on another board. Sony had a deal written into their lastcontract with R*that if Sony ever lost exclusivty (for the 9 monthsor so they did havewhen a new GTAgame came out)on the GTA franchise. R* could NEVER release it on a system before they released it on the PS3. In other words they ahd to release itsimultaneouslywith the 360or not at all.I believe this deal is for GTA 4 only though. I don't have a LINK you'll just have to trust me but if I remember rightly I go that story from GS.
