I doubt there will be a patch, most probably you'll have to download it back. And I heard nov 22. Only heard though, don't start rumorsplg2307The Naughty Dog Line Director said on the PlayStation blog that they're going to try to fix it - be it through a patch, re-download or whatever. The only thing i'm wondering is when we can expect to see this fix in place.
[QUOTE="neovalkyr"]The demo is region locked i believe, that's why it isnt working for you.-Spock-I know - it's the resolve that i'm talking about. :P
There isn't going to be a resolve or a patch. The UK people or whereever who can't play it, will have to wait till the demo comes out in their region.
There aren't patches for demos.

Hi guys and gals,
We hear you loud and clear. Wanted to chime in here and let you know that we have shared your frustration with the Naughty Dog team and we are going to see what we can do. I will be back tomorrow with an update, but in the meantime I hope you can be patient and bear with us. As you have learned through communicating with Evan and Amy on the blog, Naughty Dog is a studio that listens to gamers, so I hope to have good news for you soon.
Thanks,
Sam

As many of you in Europe and Japan may have already learned, today's demo is currently only available on the North American PlayStation Store, and will only work on PS3 units in that territory. As you may already know, North America is the first region to launch Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (Monday, November 19th), and we wanted to be sure that we gave our North American PS3 players the opportunity to try out the demo prior to launch. Other territories are currently putting the finishing touches on the localization aspects of the Uncharted: Drake's Fortune demo, and will release it in their respective PlayStation Stores in due course.Sam Thompson - Line producer at Naughty Dog
No misunderstanding there, i think. That was taken from the official Sony blog. Anyhoo, there's been an update from Cristophe Balestra. For those that wonder who that is he is co-president at Naughty Dog. He has just left word at the PlayStation blog there is a new version of the demo available now that is region free. Those of you from the UK, Europe, Japan, etc.can now check it out.
You misunderstood what they said. They aren't trying to "patch" it, they are localizing for the other regions. Give it another week or two tops andyou will likely have it in the UK store.lyndonAPI
As I had already said, People will have to wait till the demo comes out in their region.
Ha, just as I thought. The localisation excuse was just that, an excuse. Someone on the official blog said there is support in the demo for 8 languages. Go screw yourselves NGaustin_is_god
There may be support for 8 languages, but it still doesn't change the fact that the demo is region locked. You do realize people can speak a different language in the US and Canada too right? Perhaps they would want their game to be in a different language while they play on their NTSC PS3's.
Naughty Dog have fixed the demo and is now playable in europe apparently am redownloading now.
So again, we're really sorry about what happened and it wasn't done on purpose. The good news is it's now fixed and a new demo of Uncharted has been posted to the US PLAYSTATION Network Store so the entire world can enjoy it.
From playstation blog.

Well DUH, I live in the most multi cultural country in the world, Australia so I understand THAT. BUT, they used the "localisation" excuse for it not working on other systems. Can you not see my point? It was already bloody localised in European languages! As for people saying "well it was intended for America so why would they test it on other systems?", all I can say to them is that the PS3 is supposed to be region free so making it for one system should be enough. Apart from the NTSC/PAL **** which is not a problem on HD TVs anyway. Once again PAL owners can thank the mighty Sony for making their retarded system incabable of displaying PAL AND NTSC! Even those ignorant buffoons microsoft got that right with both of their machines.
I guess that's what happens when you grab it off a PSN you shouldn't have, sucks for you though. The demo's really fun. Average shooting, best characters, animations and writing I've ever seen in a game.osirisomeomi
Yea, kind of like all those yanks crying and screaming when the PAL territories got the Folklore demo first huh?
