Yeah, I agree with this. It's sensible at least.
For my non-sensible request, I want the new update to quadruple my fat psp's 32MB onboard flash. And while they're at it, I want to play PS2 games on it, and I want a bubble gum machine function added under "GAME" and the latest version of Firefox for my web browser. And why stop there? No, I want this new update to go ahead boost that 333MHz processor to 3.0GHz. I hope some of you guys are sensing the sarcasm here. It's a firmware update. What're we gonna get out of it? A PS2 emulator? Wrong. Not just wrong, impossible. Just more security updates and possibly(if we're lucky) the ability to interact unnoticabely more with our non existant PS3s. Maybe if it's christmas they'll boost support for PS1 titles, but guess what? There's a whopping 15 or so titles on the Playstation store. Until there are more to buy, that doesn't benefit us. Whoopdeefriggindoo.
I'll follow that statement with this: Sony could've just stopped with the updates at 2.0 and there's nothing we could do about it. We do seem to take them for granted thinking "Ohhh what else are we gonna get, what else??" Be happy with what we've already attained out of the deal. And yeah, Sony is making more by having us buy old PS1 titles, but still, we are buying them because we enjoy them.
