I'm the same with putting the discs back in the case.

I went to my friends house on Saturday and I looked at all his 360 games and boy did they look bad. Some cases still had a bit of the plastic sticky stuff on it, some couldn't even hold the CD, and some discs were left outI was like "AHHHHHHH!!!!! HOW DARE YOU TREAT GAMES LIKE THIS!!!!!" well not really but I spent the next ten minutes trying to clean them and put the right CDs in their proper containers.

One thing I didn't use to do now is after I wash my hands I take an extra paper towel to open the door, I refuse to touch it with my hand.

  • The games on my shelf have to be in alphabetical order.
  • My games have to have the instruction book, all case art, and the manual, otherwise I refuse to buy it regardless of how good the price is.
  • My discs must always be in the correct cases.
  • My systems and PC cannot be dusty.  I dust several times a week to keep them as clean as possible.
That's all that comes to mind right now.

Yeah I am the same way; whether it is a game, BD, or DVD, I always take the disk out before shutting down the system.

Oh yeah, big on organization.

I don't like having the plastic wrapping, or any bits of it, still on the case.

I'm also big on the cutscene thing.

I like my stack of games to be perfectly stacked.  My friend once put my game cases back because he was looking thruogh my games and they were all out of order and sloppy.  Had to put them back myself.

LOL! ME TOO!

Any time I'm playing a game with guns (24 the Game, Resistance, MGS4, etc) I always reload after I take a couple of shots. After I kill a guy I reload lol.

I'm also OCD about Greatest Hits box and Collector boxes (Madden 09), if they don't fit in my collection I get mad cause they stick out.

Yeah I have allot of OCD things - not just with gaming. But to do with gaming here are a few...

Used games don't get purchased if the plastic cover on the case is marred. If there is no manual. If the manual is there but is dogeared.

New games I don't remove from the wrapper until i am actually ready to play the game.

When taking a game somewhere I ALWAYS carry it in a plastic bag so it doesn't get dust on it.

I have a custom made cover for my Plasma TV and custom made covers for my game consoles (and PC). Everything is covered after every single use. I have a special velvet bag for my controllers even.

I wash my hands every single time before I will touch any of my game controllers, PC keyboard, mouse or TV remotes.

Um - yeah that's enough - i sound weird enough with all of that. LOL

:P

I HAVE to buy my games brand new, nothing used. Also I am not into trading any of the games I buy, so I got a pretty big collection.

I never look for tricks, cheats or walktrhoughs on my first run (unless I'm definitely stuck, and that's happened about 3-4 times in all my gaming life)

I usually try to complete my games at 100%, which is a real pain in some cases (Disgaea = OCD nightmare)

Also, I try to do my best on the playthrough... meaning that if I screw up something, I reload the game (even if that something can be fixed)

There are probably more things, but I can't remember all of them right now.

all this and when i buy a used game, the price tag is on the game and when you try to take it off, it leaves the adhesive on the case.

I use this product called "Goo Gone Spray Gel" for the adhesive.  Just a tiny drop of that, wipe with a towel, and presto!  The goo is gone.;)

Anywhere you go to buy food (like a grocery store), or cleaning supplies, or laundry soap, or hygiene items you should be able to find it or something just like it.;)

1) All games must go back into there cases when I swap disks
2) Must be arranged alphabetical order and by console (I have a seperate shelf for each console)
3) All games must have box art... I bought some games online, and the prices were good for the rare games so I didn't mind... But I really hated myself for not getting the box art... So I have like 3-4 games that don't. The instruction manual I can live without if the game really is that good priced.

It is good to know I'm not the only one. Everyone thinks I'm crazy because I want all of my gaming stuff (pretty much everything I own, but that is another story) to be in perfect order. I'm similar to basically everyone here:

I never buy used games, I like to have my games new and be able to open them myself

I never throw any of the printed materials away, I always keep everything in the case

I always put the discs back in the right case (I know a lot of people that put them in the case for the next game they play, which doesn't make any sense to me)

All my games are organized in alphabetical order (as are my CDs and DVDs)

All games are organized by system

All of my games and accessories are stored specifically and each has its own place (if anyone else plays my games, I always have to go back and put everything in order again)

Everything has to be neat and tidy

I think that is all of my main issues, but I'm sure there are a lot more. I currently have a TV stand where my flat screen hangs on the stand and then there are two glass shelves for putting anything else on. It is nearly impossible to keep things organized on that stand, so I have a new entertainment center and media center (for different rooms) on order. It will make keeping everything organized so much easier and now I won't have to have separate things to store all my stuff in, it will all have a place to go, which will be so nice.

I went to my friends house on Saturday and I looked at all his 360 games and boy did they look bad. Some cases still had a bit of the plastic sticky stuff on it, some couldn't even hold the CD, and some discs were left outI was like "AHHHHHHH!!!!! One thing I didn't use to do now is after I wash my hands I take an extra paper towel to open the door, I refuse to touch it with my hand.

I have OCD in many other areas, but not so much with games.

Though, I can't stand "different disk in different case" stuff. But I guess that would apply for anything game or otherwise. Used games don't bug me. I would prefer new, but if I can't afford new and I REALLY want that game, then I'll get it used.

Only thing I don't like buying used at all would be systems.

I always have to play my games with the sharpest detail possible. I can't stand blur or soften sprites, characters ect. Even if it's a Sega Genesis game. I want to see every pixel block as clear as day. Always been like that since I was a kid. That's what I love about HDTVs lol

One last thing. People I know can borrow some games, but NOBODY touches my Metal Gear games lol

Wow, this is funny. I'm realizing I used to be a lot like the people here... until I started babysitting. The kid I watch makes such a damn mess of all my games like everyday that I've gotten used to it. My games are strewn about everywhere and it doesn't even bother me anymore. One thing I still do thats not game related though is making sure a door closes just right when I'm by myself... sometimes I'm like wtf, why am I doing this? But yeah, nothing game related anymore.

Oh, I would go insane if anybody touched my systems especially if they didn't know what they're doing lol

I guess it's more of a matter of "I can afford to replace it" type of thing lol
