Thinking about getting Rainbow Six Vegas, but...

I keep hearing about how great this game is but I wanna know if there are still a lot of people playing it online

I was wondering about the same thing...I traded in Rainbow Six Vegas 2 a while back. But in retrospect, its gameplay is different enough from other shooters to make it worthy of a spot in my collection though. IF the online is still going strong, why not come back?

There's plenty of people online, and the ranking system is addictive(if not annoying at the same time). As long as you get a host with a good connection then there will rarely be lag. It's different enough from other shooters to be worth the buy, especially with the price it's at.

I enjoyed RSV a good bit and got almost all the awards (just needed maybe 2 or 3 awards to haveall of them).

If you are talking about rainbow six vegas 1 then i would say that is a complete waste of your time and money. DO NOT buy this game, visuals suck, story sucks, and the game is not that great.

the first had a much better singe playerexperiencethan the second, but the second lets you level up your character in single player and has much better multiplayer, with a big community. Also, make sure to use third person mode, I found this out after I bought it for a second time, gave the game a great feel.

Rainbow is a different animal. It's got such a different style of gameplay that people do go to those other games, but in a few weeks they come back. Besides, RSV2 survived the COD4 launch and is still going strong.

Good point! Althought im surepeople will come back to their online games, for some time after Modern Warefare 2 comes out, everyone is going to be playing that.
