this holiday season games, where is our Halo Killer?

It's probably just me, but I had more enjoyable time with Resistance then Halo series, or even my Half-Life 2 on PC.

Halo or especially Halo 3 is not a killer, it's a good game, a good FPS game. The only reason you're being so simple minded it's because you are brainwashed by Hype, Media and advertisement. Until you realise that, there is no such thing on PS3 as "Halo Killer" lol..

halo is the most drop dead GENERIC fps i ever played. why does ps3 need a generic fps that causes riots and people missing school days to play it?

id rather fun games like heavenly sword and lair who try something new, to me the lower scores other sites give it the more innovative it is, because the only games that get GOOD scores are fps.

ut3 is good though. haze looks alrite tho also very generic. be happy that you dont have to pay 50$ a year for your network

There are hundreds of games that does this. Any decent MMORPG has millions of players years after its release. Sign onto Diablo and see for yourself. Other than those, Zelda, Tekken, Metal Gear Solid, Super Smash Bros, Final Fantasy. These are just a few i can name of the top of my head, given time i can make a huge list.

So this holiday season I am picking up 11 games and I am stoked to finally have some good games to play. But we need a game to take on halo and I don't think Haze is going to cut it. R&C and Uncharted will be good but the big hitters Killzone 2 and Metal Gear are comming way later. there has been a serious drought of good games and I am excited for the future because for once there are more games I am excited to play on PS3 instead of 360!!!! I just wish they were comming sooner!!!

Yes, but what do they have after Halo 3? This is MS's 1 shot wonder. It'll fade and then the PS3 will look like a no brainer.

There prolly wont be a Halo killer, ever. The GTA series is about as close as that'll get I think. There wont be a killer (in my mind) at least anytime soon because Halo is an extraordinary exception to video games. It's the biggest video game franchise ever man, it's been so hyped, so publicized that there wont be anything like it for at least awhile. It's the first game to EVER to make this much money, and be such a "hit" (even if I do think it's overrated) and it's taken so long for a game like this to come along, that I dont see one happening again anytime soon at all. I cant wait until I dont have to here about Halo 3 anymore. I might buy the game, but I dont know. It will be the first 360 game I've bought since mine broke down in January. It'll be interesting to see what MS does with the Halo franchise, cause there is too much money to be made off of it to just have 3.
