i know there is alot of threads about the slim.....but doesnt it grind your gears that sony is releasing this new product.... when you just recently bought your ps3?

or does it in generall....idk i dont want no little kids on COD on the psn network now... i dont know everything makes me mad about the slim

Yeah, I do feel a bit sorry for the guys that JUST bought their PS3, and then to find out that a PS3 slim has come out (AND even cheaper). I've heard it's no different to the normal PS, except of course slim. But i guess that's just bussiness

Doesn't really matter there is no difference between the new slim and the older models except for the slim is ugly. Yeah the price drop may get some mad, but it's your fault if you couldn't wait. Everyone knew the price drop was coming just had to be patient.

nope i got an 80 gig upgraded the memory and i am more then happy with my choice. Plus I think the ps3 fat is more appealing to the eyes than the slim

Not at all. I bought PS1 early on figuring there would probably be a price drop. There was.

I bought the PS2 at launch knowing there would be a price drop.

I bought my PS3 shortly after launch KNOWING the price would eventually come down. I never regret those decisions. Early adopters are essential for the success of any product. The pay off is I didn't have to wait 3+ years to buy a system and then have to catch up on all the games. The longer you wait the closer yout get to the price drop. I can't feel sorry for someone who waits that long & then gives in & buys one & then the price drops a few weeks later, and as someone else mentioned most retailers have a 30 price match policy. Next gen act sooner & you won't get your gears ground.

Dewd... who cares if you have outdated stuff? Although constant re-invention and tweaking is a good thing, nobody is laughing at you for having the ps3 fat... hell, if anyone IS laughing, just consider the source and move on.

I myself am excited for the new ps3 release as it will get Sony to churn out some more money, therefore putting up better competition. As much as I like the fatty (hurray backwards compatible!) , I think I'll find myself picking up a slim here in a few weeks.

srsly this type ofthing happens evreywhere for electronics. my dad bought the blackberry pearl and 6 months later more than 3 models are out (the wide, storm etc) prices allways go down you just have to get used to it plus the fat ps3 looks much better if i showed the slim to a friend they would prolly call it a cheap dvd lol

I would understand if they added some insane super cool features to ps3Slim but it's just smaller and is more quite?(so what? My ps3 is quite enough). I really wouldn't care about this ''slim''.

I prefer my old ps3, looks better... And i got mine for $400NZ which is like $200US when it was $800NZ...

Also, it does the same thing man. And i rekon the original will have less problems like with the ps2... The ps2 slim broke easy as(physically)....
