This might be a stupid question, but can someone please tell me?

This may be a stupid question, but I was just wondering if ALL 40 gig PS3's aren't BC? Is it a known fact that every single 40 gig PS3 does not play PS2 games? Or is this just a problem that occurs ONLY with 40 gigs, but I could get lucky and get one that may play BC? thanks for answering!

Uhh..sorry? I didnt know if it was a defect in only the 40 gig PS3's for some reason. And I didnt get it yet, im getting it for xmas so its not like I had the box that told me it wasnt BC. So I was just clarifying.

ummmm its not a defect, it was on purpose a defect would mean that they all originally played ps2 games(the 40gb ps3) and they all broke and stopped playing, this was planned so...

I would but my parents already bought me the 40 gig. besides, most people get me gifts and gift certificates, so i wouldnt even be getting 100 dollars in cash or to a videogame store to put towards a ps3.
