This one is for the people still on the fence.... Borderlands!

I recently purchased Borderlands Goty edition and being a fan of RPG's and not so much FPS I figured this game would eventually bore me and only bought it becasue of the good price I bought it for. But after playing it for 10 hours I got to say and recommend this game to both RPG and FPS players and even players who are interested about this game but still on the fence, the art style, and gameplay and character development is enjoyable and fun so I recommend this for people even slightly interested.

I agree with this. I thought that getting it with all the expansions it would eventually just become tedious, but so far it hasn't (idk how long i've played for, but I'm level 28). It's really just one of those games you can tell were made for fun.

Well, they licensed the name Borderworlds so it's probably in development.

As both a big fan of RPG (mainly JRPGs) and FPS i have to say that Borderlands is one of the most boring games i have ever played.PoisoN_Facecam0

I beat the game and I honestly couldn't even tell you what the story or ending was. As a shooter it was decent, the RPG elements were OK with the loot dropping, level system, and the character classes/customization. But as far as story goes, it might as well have been nonexistant.

This game was easy to play whilst ignoring the story. Didn't help that most of the NPC's were barely animated, and only had the most minimal voiceover work. After I started going through the game I stopped evern bothering to read the quest logs, they are almost unnecessary since the game guided you point a to point b and highlighted all your collectibles for you...

Yeah but they've hinted at a sequel before. Plus, it sold well and Gearbox isn't really the type to pass up on such an opportunity. I mean, Duke Nukem Forever wasn't met with any sort of critical praise and poor sales but they're still going to release their own Duke Nukem title anyway.

I bought Bordelands GOTY last month and I must say it's a great and fun game but the story is terrible but other than that im really enjoying it and I only paid £10 for it, now that's what I call a bargain.

Yeah I owned Borderlands previously, and it was one of the better games this gen. Unfortunately for me me and my friends played co-op on that for months we pretty much did everything and tried all the characters we got tired of it. But it lasted a good long time. I do wish there was more to the story and it had armor sets as well as weapons. Big fan of games that are all about the loot lol(Too Human, Sacred 2, Diablo 2, just to name a few)

Loved this game. Not fond of FPS, but being a fan of JRPGs, I thoroughly enjoyed this game. How it incorporates RPG elements to a shooter works nicely.
