I downloaded andplayed the "Heavy Rain" demo last night on my PS3.The first time I played it I was at my friends house and didn't really get into it. But when I played it alone and actually got into it I found it surprising that I was actually quite interested. When I first saw previews and what not I wasn't sure how well the whole "interactive" story would work out but after playing it I think it has some potential. It looks like it is going to have some great potential as far as being unique and innovative. I didn't think I would like pushing buttons every five seconds to do certain actions and things but it turns out that they actually got it down pretty well. Anyone else whoplayed the demo what are your thoughts? I am probably going to rent it and beat it because I just don't know how high the replay value will be.

I played the crap out of that demo. Seriously, I must've went through it like eight times. Anyways, I loved the whole thing. The fight scene was really fun and exciting, and I found the crime scene very interesting.

From what I hear there really isn't any replay value for the game. Im not going to let other people turn me off from buying it though. Heavy Rain, among God of War 3, was the sole reason I even bought a PS3. There is also multiple endings so I will be replaying it to see them all.

I think the demo might have surprised a lot of people. It's the kind of thing that needs to be played in order to be appreciated, as it doesn't really come across as the best idea in the world on paper. Quantic Dream look like they learned a lot of lessons from what didn't work so well with Indigo Prophecy and I'm really looking forward to seeing what they can pull off here.

That's the opposite of what I'm hearing. A lot of the reviews have been saying that the game's story can change in quite a few interesting ways depending on the choices you make, even to the point where the game will carry on if one of the characters dies.

Im going by what I heard of a review of the game on youtube from "Playr". I haven't read/watched any other review for Heavy Rain yet. I guess i'll have to now just to knock out that poor review Playr did.

I enjoyed the demo. The QTE's were intense and well implemented. The atmosphere and story seemed intriguing. I liked the investigation. Graphics, especially the facial models and animations, and presentation were top notch stuff. The control of the character is awkward but lucky doesn't get in the way too much. My hype for the game went up big time.

Its a really gripping game. i really enjoyed playing it. And the best thing is its got graphics only possible with a ps3 exclusive. im glad ps3 is finally coming through with the best graphics and exclusives. makes me happy i made the choice to wait for one rather than get a 360 many years back :)

was i playing the same demo as everyone else? this is the game where at the start of the demo you are that guy that comes out of the car and you press R2 to walk and you haveto use your inhaler right? cos i keep hearing everyone saying good stuff but from what i played the graphics looked a bit rough and the story was to slow and the controlls reminded me of dance dance revolution when asking questions, i want to like the game but i just cant =(

I found the demo very interesting. The fight scene was fun and exciting. The interactive element of the game was surprisingly good. Overall i think Heavy rain is a worth a rent at least, or a buy if the demo really impressed you.

I didn't think i liked the demo all that much until after i was done with it. i know that sounds weird, but what i mean is this. after playing the demo i found myself thinking about the different characters in the demo, and i now want to know more about them. the demo planted a seed in my mind that i can't get rid of, and i would say that's a very good thing. this game will not be a day one purchase for me, but i will eventually pick up a copy.
