-_-...his game may be the best with combos, best gameplay and such...but is just isnt fun to me. God of War was much more fun just because of the emersiveness and the story, while ninja gaiden is just a harder game without a story even meantioning. You can argue it is better gameplay wise, but the funfactor for me goes to GoW and fun is what i even play games forCosmoKing7717
Best Gameplay?
I cant believe what im reading!, Ninja Gaiden Sigma is one of the best action games to grace the PS3. People who say this is a button masher obviously never played it or never completed, and ones that say they have and still call it a button masher are obviously LIARS. The story is weak and nothing compared to the likes of DMC and GOW but it makes up with its gameplay.
Your all just angry because ninja gaiden 2 isnt coming to ps3 and your all acting like kids about it.
Im actually going to get the 360 just for Ninja Gaiden 2, because it looks that good.

So I take it you must've LOVED Heavenly Sword.
If not, your whole entire wall falls.:)
[QUOTE="zeforgotten"][QUOTE="SmoothBrother1"]and AC isn't a repetitive game? You doing the same things over and over again in that game too. So how can you overlook that but you call Ninja Gaiden repetitive? They what the game is based around, killing ninjas. Just like how AC is based around assassinate your targets. You go about it the same way and have to do the same things to find your targets and assassinate them.C-Himura
i actually never said AC wasn't repetitive. just that people whined about it, and yet some of the same people love it in Ninja Gaiden Sigma. but read my posts again, i never said NG was bad, it just said it was the same old same old, nothing new. just chopping Ninjas, easy as pie, that's it. i've played the past games, so i know what to tap to beat the stupid Pyjamas people faster than i would have thought. But it's not a BAD game, it just got old really fast. it had it's moments, (as i've ALSO said if you would read the posts). it just didn't care that much about it, since i go "psh, pathethic" at Remakes. wich is what NGS is. sure NG2 looks good. but we know it's gonna be chopping down Ninjas, running jumping, cutscene. just like that past games. so i don't know what all the hype is all about.. PLUS! it's no secret. i might be having a hard time finding the time to play all the amount og great games coming out.
I sure hope you and anybody that says its the same old, same old wasn't hyped about Halo 3 then, cause that's just shooting aliens, same old, same old. Or MGS4, which is going to be about infiltrating, same old, same old. That's what sequels are, they just further refine the formula, and if you've seen any NG2 interviews, then you'll see its the same with them, further refining. And that's what makes them good games. I wouldn't want to play NG if it somehow became a stealth game, just like I wouldn't want to play MGS if it just suddenly became a FPS (which you even have the option to play it like that now)
Halo 3, surely the greatest overhyped repetitive shooter ever created. MSG, it sure is less repetitive than almost all games. You have so much moves and ways to dispose enemies, to fight bosses. If you think MSG is just about infiltrating stuff, you surely didn't get MSG. MSG4 does give you the option to play like FPS, but that's just the "OPTION".
As to Ninja gaiden, it's absolutely a cool game. But it's too hard for casual gamers, so the massive casual gamers won't buy it anyway.
As for hard core gamers, most of them are into FPS, so they will miss this game.
So who's left? Hardcore gamers that loves hardcore fighting games. And there are at least 3 series competing this: DMC, NJ, and god of war.
Out of the three, I think God of war is the best, NJ and DMC are about the same.
Are they repetitive? They sure are. But at least, PS3 owners got Gof of war exclusive, which is the best. NJ, if it comes to ps3, good. if not, who cares.

Of course MGS is a stealth game, but it is not your everyday stealth game. When you mentioned same old same old with MGS games, you are incorrect my friend. When the first Metal Gear Solid came out for the original PlayStation, Kojima bought a completely new styl3 of game-play to the table, which not only had this phenomenal game-play but it also had a unique story line that make this series extraordinary.
Maybe MGS2 shares a very similar approach of stealth game-play; however, what makes this game difference than the original MGS is the huge graphics jump from the PS1 to the PS2, and again the story never failed. Kojima in MGS3 put our character Snake in hostile enemy filled jungle environment that required a new styl3 of game play mode---camouflage (where Snake must blend and adapt with his environment by changing his uniform and facial makeup, must hide in trees and tall grass to not be spotted by the enemy). He must eat anything that move in jungle in order to survive throughout the game)-everything was real time game play here. If you played the game then you probably know what I am talking about. Kojima also implanted a new hand-to-hand combat called CQC. And let not forget greatest bosses fight throughout the game( The End was greatest sniper battle I ever played and experienced ina game). Everything is phenomenal about this game... from unique characters, new styl3 of stealth game play, music, and once again, the story never failed here too.
Now Kojima is taking this series to a new level with MGS4, with all the major characters returning and coming to life with the PS3 hardware. It going to 10x better than all the 3 MGS games combine. I don't want to write anymore... I'm tired anyway you get the picture.. Kojima MGS games are not repetitive; he is always changing something. Oh yea, you can playMGS4 entirely in FPS if one desire orwant to.
When you say making NG into a stealth game... lol there is Tenchu.
Well if you didn't say that NG was bad, then really my post wasn't directed towards you. I was commenting on all the people that are now badmouthing the game just because it's not coming to the PS3 like they thought. It was an awesome game before and now it's not good at all and it's boring? Thats just being two-faced and letting your fanboy mind take over your logic senses.SmoothBrother1
Good, now hear this:
I flamed Sigma prehand and prohand, I flamed the guy for flaming Sony so much, and I'm probably going to flame NGII as well. Just check my history if you must. I NEVER had good things to say about the guy or the game. Others might've felt the same way.
I have Ninja Gaiden (original) and Ninja Gaiden Sigma but I think the game is okay. Nothing special.....the story is lacking....and I really don't care if we see NG2 on PS3. The combat is the only thing going for it but that's not what makes me finish a game.....I don't want to keep fighting the same way with different enemies.
Ninja Gaiden is an okay game, but its not what some people try to make it to be.
EDIT: Let me add that I never finished Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox, I didn't want to. I finished it when it came for the PS3 because at the time there weren't any other action titles available.
Ninja Gaiden was and is one of if not the best action game for its generation. Most games that get rehashed and upgraded to work on the next gen systems were never as enjoyable as they were back in the day because there's very little new to them. I was never interested in Sigma after beating Ninja Gaiden black numerous times on the Xbox, and it really doesn't suprise me alot of people didn't like sigma much; there was nothing NEW to it aside from holding two swords.
NG2 they have revamped alot of the fighting etc to make it feel different, and I and fairly certain NG2 will live up to and probably surpass anyone and everyones expecations on the 360.

Just check my collection of reviews, and you'll know where I stand in MGS. By same old, same old, in MGS case, I meant that the objective is to reach your objective, while avoiding detection. I wasn't dissing on MGS, far from it, it just that some post about sequels being same old, same old, yet getting hyped seemed hypocritical to me, so I used one of the best examples of franchises. MGS sequels are just what I want them to be, infiltrating enemy infested territories, but it just so happens that Kojima adds tons in innovation.
PS: I am a pioneer player in the Tenchu series, is just that I don't want NG as Tenchu, would you? Specially seen the latest Tenchu entries?
[QUOTE="silver2kone"]Sorry to say but I never liked Ninja Gaiden Sigma and just sold it last week.... I'm probably the only one, but it did nothing for me.locklain
Trust me your not the only one. . .
Yeah, im with you guys on that.
EDIT: Is it just me, or am i the only person on here thats not pro GOW? Am i the only one who thinks that game is boring and doesnt give you anything new to look forward to? How they barely changed anything from GOW1 to 2? A lot of people give GOW2 as an example of what the PS2 could do. But almost everyone overlooks a game that looks better and it came out like 5 years prior to GOW2. ZOE 2. GOW is just as overhyped and overrated as Halo or FF7. Its not fun at all to me. And obviously im the only one here right now that likes DMC a lot more.
No Judgement, you're not the only one. From the three, GoW is the one that adds the least in terms of gameplay and duration. It has the best story out of all three (NG, DMC, GoW) and the most attention to overall all of the presentational aspects. But like I said, NG and DMC are superior in gameplay. I prefer NG over DMC and both of those over GoW.
I disagree with you though, FFVII is not overrated. It is only overrated to those who just believe it is going to be the second coming of Christ, which is not. There are several RPG's that have surpassed FFVII in individual aspects, such as game play system, story, but none have managed to actually mix all f these things into one, which is FFVII's credit. It is the only game I've ever given a 10 for the sole reason that it does everything right, with no apparent shortcomings, which it does have. You want completely, blown out overrated? One word: Halo.
I will be buying NGII when it is released but I really think the blood thing is waaaaay overdone and looks stupid. Good luck getting THAT into the Japanese version Itagaki! Even with a Z rating I highly doubt the Japanese version wont be censored...
There's another thing to consider with the PS3. It appears that Sony CE Japan will not allow Z rated games on their console in Japan seeing as there is no Japanese PS3 Assassin's Creed release and being itagaki, there is no way he'd butcher his game for Sony Japan's stupid standards.
I've only played the NGS demo and yes NG is a game that will discipline most gamers. The game literally smacks your hand when your trying to resort to old gaming tricks to get past enemies or levels. It will force you to become a better gamer for better or worse.
Now with that said, yeah it sucks that NG II isn't coming to the PS3.
But ya know..I was trying to pass the demo on Master Ninja...dying over and over again..and I love the game but I kept asking myself..why am I putting myself through this? Am I gonna spend 60 dollars just to give myself a heart attack over a game? lol. In the end I decided I can't buy a game that I know is going to spend most of its time making me upset no matter how amazing it is...and yes it is indeed amazing.

Yes, I do own a 360. Currently playing Mass Effect (one of the reason for buying an x360). If your comment is do to my sig don't feel so disheartened. There are a lot of people out there who are still on their first x360 but there are also a lot that have had to return theirs.

It's not the best action game out there, but it is definitely good. Not sure if PS3'ers are missing out on anything by not having this one as they already have other good action games and more coming next year. But NG is not crap, it is a good game. I disagree with those that didn't enjoy Sigma or the original. But GOWII was still a better game and personally I also enjoyed Heavenly Sword more purely b/c of the counter combat system. Boss fights in NG were better... but perhaps b/c the story in NG is crap, HS ended up being a more enjoyable game overall.
Anyway, we can tell from the sells of NGS that most PS3 gamers really don't care about a NGII. I'd like to see a new IP from them on the PS3, but I doubt they'd even do that considering the sells of NGS.haze_blaze
Ditto. Right on the dot. But apparently, PS3 owners are fanboys if we don't like Sigma.

I rented Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and played until level 9. I got head master ninja in every level, but decided to quit playing because the game is too hard. Although I'm able to beat every level with great performance, being this hard makes the game actually less enjoyable as I can only play a little per day, and I'd rather spend the time to play something simpler.
This game is definitely aimed toward NOT just hardcore gamers, but action hardcore gamers, which is a subset of the total hardcore gamers.
I'm a RPG hardcore and adventure hardcore gamer, not an action hardcore gamer, so I didn't buy NGS. ANd will not buy NG2 for the same reason.
By the way, another reason I didn't enjoy NGS as much as I thought, is that the game story is so ... huh.. nonexistant. Not sure how a modern game can be told with 16bit era story telling skills.
That's a darn shame. Ninja Gaiden is the best action game out there. The only people who dislike it are the people who don't have the skill to beat it.BioShockOwnzOpinion...Devil may cry is king IMO...

Honestly I always thought the game was poor. Sigma should have been a PSN title, period.
God of War III is going to murder NG2.

I tried to get into Sigma, but it felt really half-baked.
I enjoy what I played on the Xbox, it was impressive as hell. But the PS3 version is $60 rehashed TRASH, as I said before Sigma should have been a cheaper PSN download.
Loading times can be twice that of Oblivion's at times, there are wonderful 2-5 sec loading screens for picking up items that bring up a 2-D screen. graphics are good but not as good as they should be, animations are last gen, sound is meh.
Sigma is essentially a good game at it's core, but Itagaki got over, it is not worth $60.
He can keep his game.
It's a bummer, for sure. It's one of the reasons I can't stay exclusive to PS3... that, along with Fable 2 and Mass Effect. And God of War 3 is one of the reasons I can't stay exclusive to 360. Man, I wish these folks would team up and save me some money, lol.
Masochists who beat it on hard levels are the ones who say it's the greatest game of all time.

true but i think that partially its Sony's fault too for not securing the rights to these games early on. I mean gave development is not the same anymore as it was few years ago. Companies need more money for their games and some companies just don't care anymore about whether their game is an exclusive or not. but personally i am seriously offended by the attitude of Capcom, Namco Bandai and some other companies for jumping their ships so early on. I mean Ace Combat grew on Ps and then suddenly there is an exclusive(timed exclusive if i am right) on Xbox simply because there wasn't a big install base..WTF man? If every game which is coming out suddenly becomes a multi platform then why would somebody even think of owning multiple systems? Its the exclusives on which we make our choices. But mostly i blame Sony for not doing their homework regarding securing rights to these franchises.[QUOTE="SemiMaster"]Masochists who beat it on hard levels are the ones who say it's the greatest game of all time.
