Well, Monkey... because of "Gran Turismo" finally hitting the shelf and my PSP, I'm not so much cruising the new stuff anymore as looking backwards... there are a few games I'm waiting to see on the resales, and of course there's always Magic Thursday and the PSN. Not much is sparkin' me. I'm gonna have to wait and see what's announced beyond your fairly comprehensive and well-documented presentation.

I guess I'm knee-jerk interested in the Silent Hill and Resident Evil games, but that's just a gut thing... wer haven't seen enough to know. I know that if the new RE game is more like RE4 and less like the traditional games I'm gonna sort of lose interest. But that's just me, and I have RE2, Dino Crisis, and the original SH to shut my old mouth up! So again, I'm lookin' forward to looking backwards.

I wonder what sort of nuggets they're gonna put up for download next!

"Original" PSPs are just fine. Buy a 2000 or a 3000, and get a decent sized memory card (8G) so that you can take advantage of the PSN. You don't need a Go unless you really want the "cutting edge" technology. A UMD-PSP will allow you to take advantage of resale games as well as downloading the latest content or games you like while saving some money.

These are the ones I'm currently most interested in- even if I've just learned of them...

1. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker:The demo was awesome- enough said. :D
2. Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep:It's lookin pretty good so far- I've liked what I've seen.
3. Valkyria Chronicles 2:I never played the first one admittedly- too many others games at the time... But I might catch on with the series with the PSP installment.
4. BlazBlue:IT'S COMING TO PSP?!? :shock: I need to hear more details on this- is it a brand new game? A port of the original (which was compatible with remote play)? Should I get this instead of the PS3 BlazBlue?
5. God Eater:Looks interesting... I'll see what info I can find on it.
6. Final Fantasy 13: Agito:I have no idea when I'll get FF 13 or this one... But I'm definitely interested in it- potentially moreso than vanilla FF 13...
7. Duke Nukem Trilogy: Critical Mass: Seriously? :? We'll see if it ever comes out and how it plays...
8. Wipeout XL:I haven't heard much on it- but I downloaded and loved Wipeout Pure (never got pulse though). So maybe I'll get this one (It's relatively low on my attention list though).

If you got a PS3 there is a demo of Valkyria Chronicles1 it is a very good game indeed. I went out and bought the full game the following day after having tried the demo ;)

Duke Nukem Trilogy (DNT) is an upcoming 3D platformer video game compilation co-published by Apogee Software and Deep Silver for the Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable. The Trilogy is being developed by a Polish developer, Frontline Studios. The games announced to be included in the compilation include Duke Nukem: Critical Mass, Duke Nukem: Chain Reaction, and Duke Nukem: Proving Grounds.

The three games will also have what Apogee calls "multi-mode". Where players switch between third-person over the shoulder, first person, isometric, and side scrolling views. At the moment this action is directed.

A four-minute trailer was shown at E3 2008, in which there is no gameplay footage, but rather a series of logos and game-related art.

Recently a post at the official 3D-realms site mentioned that the Duke Nukem Trilogy will consist of three games released one at a time. The first is scheduled to be released in September 2009 on the Nintendo DS and PSP handhelds. Each game has its own title, the first being "Critical Mass". Each title will have its own setting, from the future to World War II, etc. While the Trilogy ends with World War II, the first entry, Critical Mass, begins with Duke in the future. The second title, Chain Reaction, takes Duke in the present day. It's not until the last game, Proving Grounds, that the action takes place in World War II.

Wipeout XL is port of the 1996 PSX game.

I wonder the game called God Eater.

Like the above poster stated, all of them are ports or rpgs. Which are great if they are great, but where are any of the new IPs? After loco roco, patapon, half-minute hero, hammering hero, and dj max portable, im looking forward most of all to new IPs which I dont see any stand out on the horizon.

I like ports like GTA and GoW, but the games like patapon and loco roco are the best games on the system.

I'm only really interested in MGS: Peace Walker and Fat Princess.

What about Phantasy Star Portable 2? That's the only one I'm really looking forward to.

I was for instance allways promoting games like Patapon but games like that allways got hated on and people wished for games like a new Metal Gear instead and the usual argument was "the PSP got no games".

Anyway I posted the most anticipated PSP games for 2010 and it happens to be that many of them are ports even though I dont concider a game like MGS to be so since it is a true succeeder to the series.

And there are original IPs coming for the PSP I mentioned some of them in other threads but as usual nobody gave a damn, it is only now a year later that games like Patapon is getting some serious love.

Anyway people should try and do a little reseach. I posted about this game about a month ago but it got NO attentioneven though it is an exclusive for the PSP from Sony JapanStudiowhich also made Patapon and LocoRoco.

Yes i remember that game. And no one cares about these games because they get no attention from gamespot, ign, or 1up. All the attention is from ports and sequels of ports.

I bought patapon and patapon 2 both within a week or release only because I did a little research. But most gamers dont want to search for a gem in the rough. They rather have a stone polished and hyped up in front of them. But im not worried. If One million tons of broken pieces is great then it will get some attention after the critics praise it.

i never heard of the last ranker until now. looks interesting 'coz of all those capcom's all-star cast.

The TC is misinformed, The Last Ranker has nothing to do with Capcom characters, its co developed by Capcom (and Image Epoch) but there are no Capcom Characters in it.

Cool, thanks for sharing 100 Million Tons of Broken Pieces Digi, I didn't even know the game existed until now. And if it's made by the same people as Patapon and Loco Roco I'm sure it'll be a great game.

Other than that I'm looking forward to Silent Hill, Parasite Eve and Fireteam Bravo 3. Also after having the chance to play Valkyrie Chronicles on the PS3, (which I'm now hooked on) Seeing it come to the PSP in the form of the sequel is great news to me.

I hated Phantasy Star Portable and I am not waiting for the second sequel.

The other surprise for me was Parasite Eve 3. It is a PSX game forgotten long time ago. Actually the game was good as Resident Evil series on PSX.
