Well thats not fact nobody knows who the stig is, i wish they would just reveal him, but theres been allot of rumours about it being damon hill and he matches the size and body weight of him, its definitly an ex-racer.
It me cool if you could go head to head with the stig on the top gear test track.
Sorry to the OP i thought you comment about remain calm ment people would be annoyed now am thinking you were meaning do not get too excited.
Last I heard the stig was actually a test driver from one of the Italian companies which is why he doesn't follow the same lines as an F1 driver but he knows how to handle most cars. This is MASSIVE news.

I've been waiting for Top gear to appear on GT, Clarkson has mentioned the GT series and has played it on Top gear for the Nurburgring(sp) episode, but to be honest I didn't really think it would happen.
I read somewhere that the Stig for a while was one person but then he died and since then has been many different drivers from F1 to rally. I think even Colin McRae was the Stig for a while. It would be cool to see how fast i could go around that track but i dont know how realistic it will be since you could never drift around a turn at all. In GT you always seem to understeer hard turn and if you try to use the handbrake you go out of control. Alot of times when you see the Stig go around the hammerhead with powerful rear wheel drive cars he will break the back end loose a bit but i really doubt that will happen. I hope im wrong but also unless GT has damage i wont be terribley interested in it.

We wont know until we get our hands on a demo of GT5. Either way if theyve got TGs help they can just get stig to help code ;)
