So i got some movies on my PC that's a tad too big for my 1gb usb storage device.
Is it possible to just send em to the ps3 via my wireless router?
or any other idea on how to get em ove rwithout using an external storage device?

That really looks like an awesome tool Calibah. Thanks for the link, I'm going to try it out now!
For those of you who have trouble running video files on your PS3, and want a good conversion tool, use PS3 Video 9.
It gives you the option to convert for HDTV or normal 480p tv's at the quality you wish and works very well.

Yeah, I've used ps3video9 too. It's good, but what's great about TVersity is it encodes on-the-fly, while you're actually watching the video clip on your PS3. So you can stream your xvid/avi files from your computer to your ps3 in real-time like it was a supported file type.
You can use it not only to stream all songs/photos/videos you have on your computer, but also transfer them to your PS3.
It has support for RSS-feeds, so you can for example take The HotSpot's RSS and listen to the show that way.

Wow! I tried the program yesterday, and it's truly amazing.. no need for the tedious converting with PS3 Video 9.
As you said, it's on the fly, and offers full functionality needed without any problems setting it up.
Brilliant program!
