Is it me or do is there some similarities in the story in Uncharted 1 and 2?

You get another character (or back) mid way through. Sully for #1, Elena for #2

There's some sort of beast type things shown just before the end. Deformed Spanians - #1, Shambala Gaurdians - #2.

There's one big boss fight at the end. Navarro - #1, Lazaravich - #2

There's two main villains. Navarro and Roman - #1, Flynn and Lazaravich - #2

One of the main villains is killed just before the last boss fight. Roman - #1, Flynn - #2.

There's a minor main villain. Eddy Raja - #1, Liutenant Draza - #2.

You see where I'm getting?

As is the case with hundreds of movies, books, comics, and stories throughout the years... Its a standard plot with a few twists and the reason it works is because the execution is fantastic.

Mark spoilers dude -_-

And like the above poster said, Uncharted's way of telling the story is awesome, and many books and movies do the same.ESPECIALLY movies.

Oh NO! Naughty Dog are terrible, terrible developers because they stick to a format that has been proven successful in movies, television and books!

Thanks captain obvious did you figure that one out all by yourself. Who cares if it's the same pattern as long as the pattern keeps delivering amazing games. So justshut upand enjoy them.
