uncharted does not deserve the praise some give it

I think 9.5 is a very reasonable score. 9.0 at the very least. What would you rate it?

listen im not trying to say this game sucked...its just not GOTY......ds is the true GOTY

to much hype, i only enjoyed one part other than that it was forgetable

I think TC is only looking at the basic concept to much and does not seem to appreciate the atmosphere and environment as much as he should be.

But I suppose that doesn't really make the gameplay? Oh well.

i think i've seen a topic like this for every popular game. i just finished the game on normal and i think it was a master of every thing that has been done b4. the only weakness of it is that there is no innovation, and this doesnt bother me. also the co-op and multi-player are a blast.

"cinematic" games like uncharted 2 just don't do it for me. They're just too simple and barebones.

The single player experience was really well done, doesn't suprise me that it recieved much praise, the only thing I'll give negative about UC2 is the multiplayer, I found the beta to be much more stable and just plain better than how it is now with it's glitchy glory.

I like how it plays, its great fun.

HOwever the online has 3 things it needs to really hammer out before I'll play it online again.

Increase bullet damage or give us less health. It takes WAY to long to kill people, throw in people rolling behind cover or peopel running to explosives and killing you in seconds. If we coudl actually kill people with guns, than campers with explosives will be far less effective.

Allow us to disable aim assist, this isn't a big deal, I just don tlike aim assist :P

And also, let people join in progress! It sucks when people quit for its 5 agaisnt me only, and if i quit I get penalized, so I have to stay there and get killed

just finished played uncharted 2, took me two days to beat on hard.

i have to say it does not deserve the high praise it recives

dont get me wrong, the graphics are nice, and most of the charecters have good development and structure but lets point out the flaws

the cover shoot system is flawed and boring, the jumping system is flawed, you dont do much but cover shoot, solve an easy puzzle and climb....

i must say on a posotive the second one is better than the first but i still dont see the GOTY and some people saying best game ever dont see it

i actually no exactly what you are talking about. It was a good game, but i think it was horribly overrated. The graphics are stunning, thats the only thing that really stood out for me. It had a pretty good, but sadly, a very short story. And what I really, really, really dont understand, is the big deal with the multiplayer. When it first came out everyone was like, hell yeah, this is freaking epic. I played it and was sadly dissapointed, ill stick with MW2. It was worth playing, but i would never buy it, but definitly rent it.

The online has issues for sure, but as a whole its still fun.

I'd much rather play this, or Killzone, or Warhawk or SOCOM or nearly anything over COD, but thats just me :P
