***UNCHARTED looks SICK on XBR4***

OMG I need to get this set real bad... PS3 games looks hot on this tv. The environment and surrounding in Uncharted looks so life-like. Hahaha gamespot should review all future PS3games on the Sony XBR televisions.

However, Samsung came out with LN-T4671 which do contrast ratio25,000:1, I'm still deciding which one to buy.... but I'm moving forward for the XBR4 eventhough it only do 18,000:1.

I also have an xbr2, far as i know the only difference between the xbr1,2,3,4 is the color and design of the front bezel. the tv is absolutally beautful, and all games ive played look absolutally stunning

Those look ridiculous. I'm pissed off kind of because I have the latest Toshiba 42hl167, 1080p set, supposed to be pretty damn good for the price, but I can honestly say that those screens piss on anything my tv can display. Whats screwed up is how can it be that much better, I mean, both LCD, both 1080p, latest model, calibrated, HDMI 1.3, pretty much the works, yet still looks nothing like those pics. WTF!!!!!

Next TV will definitly be a Sony, but god damn are they expensive.

How can you say that, there must be something seriously wrong if some how a digital photo, that are softer, fake blown out contrast from exposure, and shown on this forum at 548p resolution and some how blows your 42 1080p screen away. I mean your making your assumption by viewing the photos on a regular PC monitor in a bright room, which is not an XBR4. If you were to launch the PS3 internet browser and viewed this thread on your Toshiba it would look the same. I think you are mixing up the difference in how a digtial camera photo lookes when blowing out the image compared to what it originally looked like on his tv with human eyes in a dark room.

I'm 99% sure that you won't be able to tell the difference between 18k and 25k. Likewise, how most people can't tell the difference between 720p and 1080p in tv less than 40''

Don't forget those stores tend to skew the picture settings to the favor of the T.V. they want to sell. Irregardless, Sony makes a beautiful T.V. set. I have a Samsung, but i really want a Sony as my next "gift" to myself.

umm honestly you are overrating a TV find a HDTV you like if its LCD 8ms Response time 1500:1 Ratio at least and screw around with the settings play around make things lighter darker believe me you will find a picture that amazes you for me the vizio has a game setting just for the next gen systems and it looks fricking great that's what the Sony probably has too a game setting for the TV, but believe me Picture quality can be found by tweaking the TV mix it up if your TV has full RGB color put that on that Sony TV clearly had RGB full range enabled you can tell by the vibrant colors and the darker look it highlights the graphics and makes them look crisper cleaner and better like on the vizio the game setting I switch it on and makes everything darker but better when playing on a HD game I switch back and fourth standard to game and game clearly looked better then I did RGB full color and game and it really darkened it highlighting all the effects it was to dark so I did full RGB and raised the brightness to 60 but I found a quality that I love and that's the game with it set on limited its dark but not too dark and it looks great the colors blend well and look very photo realistic.

Okay im posting a pic to show my TV off i dont see a difference between the sony and this but if you can spout a difference please let me know and tell me what the difference is point it out and explain.

You may be right, but I'm positive that my TV's picture is not as good as that, pretty significant improvement to say the least. Oh well, good enough for now, I'll just remember to get Sony in the future.

Actually the real thing is much better than even these pics of a game. But oddly you dont get that in any steams of the games from here. Or even HD streams at Gametrailors.com. Which their all streams so? So for people who dont own one, they have no idea really.

Bingo. Mass Effect also looks pretty good but the game basically takes place in a series of futuristic rooms.

looking like pre rendered cgi screenshots, no jaggies no texture flickering... but it's actually running in real time. Holly ***** What's the price for this hell of a TV Ride. 3000Dollers? that would be even a good fair price for such a quality.
