Hey guys.

This is a somewhat tough choice for me. Both games are both scoring well (see gamerankings). I'm a fan of Epic and their Unreal series, while I'm also a fan of Naughty Dog.

I'm going to buy one of these games this friday, and get the other sometime in January.

Which one should I buy first and why??

EDIT: I love both single player and multiplayer focused games.

No, there's just the SP, but it's the best out there for the PS3.

UT is an ok game, but MP based games are not my thing. I like it when games tell me a good story, like Uncharted did.

As a huge fan of both allow me to say that you should absolutely buy both. As for which one to get first, if you feel like single player right now then get Uncharted. If you feel like multiplayer right now then get UT3.

I know this isn't terribly helpful, but both games are so good and so worth buying that it's all I can really say. Uncharted is my favorite game overall on the PS3, but UT3 is my favorite multiplayer game on the PS3. Since I'm a much bigger fan of single player games I'll pick Uncharted, but UT3 is awesome as well.

It kinda seems like from what I've seen from xbox 360 forums and the ps3 forums, is that PS3 Gamers are more SP gamers, and 360 gamers are more MP gamers.

The PS3 isn't my only system. I love both. And games that somehow manage to get the single player and multiplayer right (Call of Duty 4), are usually the games I spend most of my time with, aside from games with role playing aspects.

Though I've met alot of 360 fans who didn't buy Bioshock because of lack of multiplayer. I wanted to slap them.

if you wanna be good in UT3, then get it first. you'll have time to practice; if you get it later, there'll be so many elite players you won't be able to breath. uncharted can wait, its a single player game.

Been playing UT since 99. I would just need to warm back up.

You don't have to buy UT3 for now.If you already got COD4.you should experience its online content a little bit more in my opinion. So I recommend you to buy Uncharted

UT3 is a huge disappointment for veterans of the franchise. UT2004 was the pinnacle, imho. Assault was taken out and replaced with Warfare. :( Which is one of the weaker multiplayer modes. Save your cash and buy UT2004. Don't let the UT3 hype get to you like I did.

Buy Uncharted right now!

on Drakes Fortune, after you beat story mode,is there anything else to do? is there multiplayer in it?HoodCheese

There is no multiplayer but ithas plenty of replayability, because:

  • it has four different difficulty levels, one of which you unlock by beating the game on hard, which is actually hard
  • the game only takes eight hours if you play on easy or medium; expect a good 10-15 hours on hard
  • there are 60 treasures to find
  • there are 47 medals to earn (many of them are very difficult)
  • there are 1000 points worthof medals to earn...
  • there rewards to getby earning certain numbers of pointsfrom medals including: art galleries of character/level concepts, unlimitted ammo, weapon choice, fast motion, slow motion, super slow motion, costumes, etc
  • the story is like a summer blockbuster movie that you will love to watch and play over and over again

So ...the game has plenty of replayability unless you're the type of person who will only beat the game once on easy ormedium in 8-10 hours and then have it sit on your shelf and collect dust.

But, if the treasures, medals, rewards, or difficulty levels interest you even remotely, you will get plenty of replayability out of this game. Naughty Dog knows how to keep gamers coming back for more.

Besides, its just pure undeniable fun ... well worth the $60

As for UT3, I can't speak on it because I haven't played it yet, but I'm confident that its awesome as well. However, I'd say start with Uncharted ... you need a single player buffer between all of the multiplayer there has been (Resistance, Warhawk, COD4, etc).

Seems Metal Gear ish.

Basically the Metal Gear games tend to be 7-15 hrs long. But you can milk the HELL out of them.

By the looks of it, Uncharted will be the game I buy on friday.

Uncharted is the best overall game I've ever played. UT3 is the best multiplayer I've ever played. I'd go with Uncharted first cause its just off thr charts badass. Then UT 3 for some good online a@@ kicking.
