I keep hearing the "short, but sweet" moniker in reference to Uncharted. I'm looking to pick up my first PS3 game and I've narrowed it down between Uncharted and Ratchet with a heavy lean towards Uncharted. I just wanted to clarify what I think I've been hearing.
I don't mind a short game; in fact, I'm perfectly fine with one under 10 hrs if the experience is worth it. For instance, the COD4 single-player experience is short, but a fantastic overall cinematic-like experience that I believe makes the game worthwhile. Does Uncharted fit into this kind of description where it manages to transcend its shortness? I'm a big movie buff, so the more "cinematic" a game feels, the more it grabs me. I love the totality afforded by a game/movie with great sound, picture, story, etc (it all plays out well on 120" screen and surround! :)).
If you don't believe that Uncharted fits that mold, would Ratchet be my better choice for a more unique, polished experience or would you still recommend Uncharted?
