Its called CryEngine 2, not Crytek, they are developer.

Personally, i have to go with Unreal engine 3.

While i enjoyed Crysis 2 on the PS3, it was not the graphical king it was touted to be.

Though CryEngine is muc newer, i still would say Unreal 3. Most workable engine, allows for mods, manipulation, and spacial reconstruction. Unreal is more about games, cryengine 2 looks pretty but the physical movements of A.I. and objects is really bad to me. Things move in a mechanical way. Tell ya though Frostbite 2 will blow them both out of the water for interactivity. Then ID Tech 5 well look better when it comes out, then Unreal 4 later this year i believe wil once again top everything. Engines are engines, depends on if the developers know what they are doing or not.

Well, the CryEngine 2 is technically superior by leaps and bounds but we've haven't seen how flexible it is. With the Unreal Engine 3, you got everything from BioShock to Gears of War to Mass Effect. The visual diversity is very impressive with the Unreal Engine so we'll have to wait to see what developers do now that Crytek is licensing their engine...they are licensing it, right?

Who knows, bunch of pretentious Germans if you ask me haha, joke. But really the Cryengine 2 being better than 3, is almost too inaccessible. It takes to much to do not enough. I liked how in Crysis 1 things had weight like falling tress crushing people ect. But really with the right work Unreal can do it too. I just think Unreal had more work put in initially so that later on it could be used for so much more than just a couple of games that look good but no one can or does play.
