My Birthday is in like 2 days and my mom keeps asking me "What game do you want for your B-Day?" and i am torn between many games... I already have Burnout Paradise as an option, but out of these 2 shooters which do you suggest i get?
I would have to say COD4 sadly... I mean i've been a UT fan forever...but ps3 version is hard, without a mouse, and finding a mouse that works well with the game has been a challenge for me.... but it is similar to past UT games.... so if I were you i'd base my decision on past versions of each game, and which you prefer.... if you've played any of the older ones....
4 is completely overated, just like halo, it is no different to any other shooter, i have both games and i play on ut3 most of the time, my bro always plays on cod 4 but it sucks. UT3 FTW
UT3 is fast paced that requires quick reaction time.
CoD4 is a little more tactical but a lot slower gameplay.
I prefer UT3 as I much prefer the faster gameplay. CoD4 just feels sluggish, nothing like the feel you get from the single player part of it, which is much better than UT3's (although the singleplayer parts are pretty much just little addons, as both game's are really short, under 5 hours). However, a lot of people like the "level-up" system of CoD4 and claim that's why it's so addictive. It's a gimmick in my opinion and did nothing for me.
I would recommend Call of Duty 4, but one of the guys previously is right, your parents shouldn't be buying M rated games for you if you're not even close to being 17+. Personally I can't stand playing online with some foul mouthed 10yr old that has COD 4 and a mic. Burnout Paradise is also a great online game.
I've got an MX 518 and a dell keyboard and they work great with UT3, you just have to go adjust mouse settings in-game. For sure get them both, COD4 is just awesome and Unreal Tournament 3 is some of the best fast-paced multiplayer FPS ever created...I would have to recommend COD4 first.

Hmm, while I didn't mention anything before, I don't think namecalling will help your case any and you are just helping to prove their point. Most of them just seem to be looking out for your well-being and were not being rude. Maybe if you delete your last sentence, it won't seem so immature.

While Burnout Paradise is a great game, I would recommend CoD4 (would still recommend UT3 over both of them). Of course, I'm not a big racing fan, so my opinion probably shouldn't mean much.
If you're at all interested in single player, get COD4. But I've had a lot of fun with UT3's multiplayer, and you can kill bots too, which is decent. It's like multiplayer, except you win! lol.
I realize that they "may" be looking out for my well being, but SERIOUSLY... I say one thing and they think im some 10 yr old. Im not one to go online and sit and cuss everyone out... I like to enjoy my games just as much as everyone else. Thanks, but i was trying to get advice on some games not get lectured on life. :|
