What is the deal with the version 2.4, its suppose to be out today but when I went to download it it says that I already have the lastest update and it says version 2.36. So what the hell is going on??????

there's already lots of threads about this. It got pulled out due to some PS3 where "bricked".

According to what others have said, if it works fine after the update then there should be no fear of being bricked.

Apparently it only can happen during the update procedure.
