[QUOTE="_AsasN_"][QUOTE="NADeSilva"]how are the graphics and framerates? similar to the darkness letdown?or better?arturo_ko
are you playing it in a hdtv or sdtv?
Hey guys, I know this is a bit off topic, but my tv does 720p and 1080i. Vegas runs at 30FPS so if i have it at 1080i it would be better, correct? Im not very good at the hd thing, so if anyone could explain which would be better and why, it would be appreciated :) Thanks!Groove60
depends on the tv, in some they are the same, in others one is better than the other, for example in my 32 samsung, it is better in 720p than 1080i

do you even have the darkness just curious
Listen mates, do not listen to your Sony brothers on this one. I read the "user reviews' on this forum to get an idea on how this game looks and plays.
Simply: it looks and plays like crap, and the other people are absolutely wrong about it looking good with no aliasing or framerate issues.
It does NOT play at 30 frames per second. When you're inside a building, yes, perhaps 30 frames per second, but when you step out into the urban jungle and there are a number of buildings in the background, it will drop to 15-20 frames per second. No, it is not pretty.
The aliasing difficulties are pretty irritating as well. The game never slows to a crawl, to its credit, but it does not look or play smooth at all unless you're inside closed doors.
This is no Resistance Fall of Man.
The textures are not even very nice to look at. AVOID THIS GAME.
So, here I am, on my PC again, and I'll play some games that look beautiful, have better looking textures (the only texture that is good looking or impressive in R6V is the main character model, which you don't see often, obviously, since its first-person), and play at a better framerate, such as Day of Defeat Source and Counter Strike Source....

Here's the deal. I just popped this game in my Ps3 and it looked blurry. MyPS3 is set to 1080i, 720p, and 480p. Also my HDTV looks best when displaying at 1080i. To get rid of the blurry look on my TV you have to disable the 1080i, or 1080p function on the PS3 Video setting menu. That way the best your TV can do is 720p. Once you do this the blurry effect is then gone, and the game looks much better.Listen mates, do not listen to your Sony brothers on this one. It's best to just play it in 720p because it looks much better. I can't help but think to myself that the game needs to be upscaled to 1080p...and done right. Maybe it's be, but I'm not a 720p fan. Just my opinion though.

Are you insane? I own a Playstation 3. I own a PS2. I own a PSP. I owned a PS1. I have never owned a Nintendo or Microsoft console in my life.
I own this game. I bought it today. I've been waiting for it to come out on PS3 for 5 months.
It has framerate issues and aliasing issues, do not buy it. It is simply not a good game.

The guy above this guyis right..., he is not lying at all, I have both versions I bought this version hoping it'd would be better, I figured if it played good there would be hope for multiplat games... Online wow! the game is only 7 on 7 14 players the 360 version has 16, but thats not even a big deal the framerate is horrid, and I mean bad, and jaggies everywhere... Everybody i played with online that has played the 360 version agreed hands down.
Some noobs didn't really know how to diagnose framerate problems and jaggies so they of course thought it was fine, even the sound of the guns is not as good... and also the voice chat has many bugs, look i'm just stating the facts thats it these are the facts

This game is not good. if you have nothing constructive to add about my comments, nothing honest to say about them, you leave.
I bought the game, put it in my PS3, and don't like it. I'm sorry my opinion isn't as valid as yours, really, I am, but if you're looking for a slice of truth, read the Game Informer review. It says "looks muddy, has aliasing issues." It reported no framerate issues, but I assure you they are there. In scenes where you step into the outdoors, it often drops to 15-25 frames per second. This is not optimal, and this does not look good. Take off your rose-colored glasses please.
By the way, Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a great game. I looked at Lair today, and my jaw literally dropped. I own Resistance: Fall of Man and love it. But Rainbow Six Vegas is not a good game. It is not optimized well. Demand more.

I didn't play the online....I'll have to check it out. I wanted to buy the Darkness and Rainbow Six this month...I hope Sigma will be good.
What do you mean the mic, sound is not as good? Is the online framerate worse than the offline? Is lag a factor, or is it just hardware lag?
play it in 720p and its perfect

No, it's not. I play all my games in 720p. Ninja Gaiden, Motorstorm, Fight Night, and Resistance, all look awesome.
This game has minor performance issues in offline. It is not a very good looking game.

Well me and a couple clan mates played coop missions and it was3 of us and when they would pass in front of me the game would slow down... but wow online sharpshooter team sharpshooter its absolutely horrid, especially if you're used to the 360 version... keep inmind i already set my tv to 720p... jaggies are everywhere, I mean everywhere... This game lags the voice chat lags, and its so funny my ps3 fanboy clanmates totally turned a blind eye to all of it... my m8 doesnt even sound like it does on 360... it sounds like a cap gun

the weird thing is GAmeinformer is teh only place that said that...if you look at ign's preview they said is basically looks the same as the 360, and teh yahoo review says the same. they really didnt mention anything about poor framerates.
