If you buy a console for $300 -$450 depending ... Are you REALLY going to complain about $60 games? If you do ... don't complain about waiting until they drop in price then ASK in a THREAD which game to buy ... PLEASE STOP DOING THIS! Thank you.

I paid $500 for my PS3 and I don't like paying $60 or more for a game. Of my collection of 90+ PS3 games, I have only paid full price for 4 of them.

I don't consider myself a cheap-o.

you add it up yourself, say you buy at least 3 new games a month at 60+ dollars (i know some people actuall buy more than this amount) thats about 180+ dollars not including the taxes, add up one year and you have paid a massive amount of money.. the console is acceptable because it is an operating gaming system, its worth the price. even then consoles actually cost alot to most people, and after finally getting the console, you do not want to spend a lot more money, so when you want to buy games and they cost 60+ dollars each you will not be able to buy them.

EDIT: also remember that not many of us have jobs and rais money, so of course those people cant pay 60 bucks per game.

you are correct, which is why these people dont buy many games, and complain about the prices because they are too expensive.

I prefer to be called frugal :x I haven't bought a single game this year (am actually about to go buy my first :P) and have played my purchases from last fall and have borrowed games from friends. Now I can pick up all the games I missed from Q1 2010 for around 30 dollars.

Being smart does not mean that you are cheap. You can get most new release games a week or two later for $40 or less. Considering your minimal collection with the amount of great games out there, you must be the cheap-o. So quit complaining about the complainers and buy more games.

or buy a car and use it wisely. don't waste it on distance you can easily walk in 10-15 minutes, don't accelerate to fast, etc.

I've never paid more than $25us for any of my PS3 titles, OR PSP games... I like waiting out the price drop it makes me play the LAST raft of under-$20 games I scored... being "behind" the consumer curve is fun and it saves me money so whatever, dood.

Being smart does not equal being cheap... Why buy games like Singularity/Crackdown 2/Lost Planet 2 at $60 when you know the price is going to drop extremely fast.

Funny - I think I'm 5-9 online which stinks ... but it's all playing as Kentucky

MY point of this thread was to let those people who want to buy something for nothing know that it's annoying - because it doesn't NORMALLY work that way unless you have a connection or wait forever ... then complain that NO one is playign that game online since you waited too long to buy it ... it's all annoying

Really now? Does this make you a hypocite?

I'm ALWASY the AWAY team and when I create a room, the other guy HAS to be a team with a HIGHER letter grade ALWAYS!

When you play as the away team, the following is SURE to happen:

- WR's drop more passes (Even when you switch to a USER Catch)

- The Defense plays soooo STUPID! the Gameplay options do NOTHING! literally. I played with them mixed up and the SAME THINGS happened over and over ...

- Missed tackles, dropped interceptions, D-Linemen standing around

- It's NOT FUN to play as the AWAY team online. Do yourself a favor and do not START a game until you ARE the HOME team

- - - - It's RIDICULOUSLY stupid and you lose to people who suck more than you - - - -

- THEY get the fumbles, injuries to your team, and jump balls ...

IT JUST SUCKS!

Meh, don't really care what some forum poster thinks about my financial choices. But nobody should be paying $60 for 70% of the completed product and assumed to pay extra for the rest of it.

Just because people buy games for cheap doesn't mean they are cheap. I always search for the best deal on a game. Why pay 60 at one place when I can pay 50 at another? Whatever though, I'll pay full price for a game I want right away.

I went into Blockbuster recently... not knowing they had an insane sale on video games. I picked up 9 PS3 games I didn't have which totaled to be less than $60. I wish I hadn't done that now because I guess that made me a HUGE "cheap-o"

Even if you can't afford the newest games out, there are plenty of cheap games that are still really good, they are just older. Although some games (specifically ones with multiplayer) drastically change the online experience the longer you wait to play it. Nothing wrong with scraping the barrel, just know you get what you pay for.

whats the point in this? if people want to complain then they are going to complain. I usually buy my games new because i cant wait for the price to drop i want to play them when they come out. but i don't like to pay $60 for a game i just do it because thats how much they are. I don't buy alot of games though maybe 3 or 4 a year.

I don't get it. I think everyone deserves the right to KNOW what they're paying for and whether if it's a 30 or 60 dollar game- who cares? The money towards a crappy game could've been put toward other "necessities" like clothing and food. Maybe you should take a look at the economy right now and tell us whether or not this method is playing "smart" or being a "cheap-o". People aren't always as "rich" as you.
