Vita TV. I think we have our HDMI out answer.

I don't get surprised by much, but this one nailed me.

Thoughts on this streaming, OUYA killing(?), Vita game-porting $100 consolette?  Anyone?

So if I understood the VERY short GS article correctly... It looks like you can play vita, ps1, and psp games on your TV with this $100 device (device, controller, 8gb memory card) with no need for an actual Vita? If so, not bad. EDIT: I wonder if that will be the vita/ps4 bundle they were talking about

I will probably get it at some point, there are some Vita and PSP games I wouldn't mind playing on the TV.

I know it's called VITA Tv, but I don't think it'll play much Vita games. It said it won't play any game that requires the Touchscreen and I think many games have atleast some incorporation with it. It does sound very very cool for the PS1/PSP Streaming that's an amazing feature being able to play those on your TV with this small device.

There is also no mention of whether it can play the full, downloaded games from PSN that are on a memory card. If not, then this is a no-purchase device for me as a good 80% of my Vita library has been downloaded from PSN.

To those mentioning or wondering if this is a Vita replacement I say this: The Vita is a portable device, the Vita TV and your flatscreen are not. Sure you could forgo purchasing a Vita with this device but that would be eliminating the very thing the Vita does best which is play fantastic, console quality games on-the-go. I've wanted to be able to play my Vita games(the ones without crossbuy/save) on my flatscreen but was hoping the solution would be more like the PSP's component cable which was about $39.00 US. Even if this Vita TV can play your full, downloaded games, $100.00 US seems a bit steep for what current Vita owners get out of it.

I'd just like some way to play my UMD PSP games on this thing.  I never buy digital games over PSN if a physical copy is available, and as such I got completely shafted by the Vita's lack of a UMD drive.  There's some PSP games I wouldn't mind playing on my TV, but the PSP slim's TV-out was downright awful and I couldn't deal with the disproportioned, extremely small, letterboxed picture I was presented in the middle of my screen.

My PSP slim is also getting long in the tooth, so if this thing can play UMD games, I'm sold.  Doesn't look like it can though... Probably another horrid PSN-only abomination.

I'm on the waiting for details wagon as well. It's been said that games will be patched so touch controls can be done via the controller. In either case I can see why people would want it, but I'll stick to the vita I have. Hopefully this will increase the install base and increase the number of bigger companies that come to make games for it.

So from what I could gather, its like a mini-console version of the Vita? Guess I'll wait for more info before making a final judgement. All in all, don't mind it as long as it doesn't have any negative impact on the Vita.

I'm very intrigued. I'd love to play Vita and PSP games on the TV. I would like more info obviously, but for now I'm definitely interested in getting one.

If it sells better than the vita then you can bet that they'll move away from touch controls more and more. Not a huge fan of touch, but it does make some things more convenient and it's sometimes used in a pretty fun manner.
