Warhawk Overhyped?

Wow dude really ? I was in the beta too, and aside from the glitches at first the game was stellar !!! I miss it soo much right now and can't wait for the game. Having your buddies over and playing the game online is awesome, just being able to co-ordinate warhawk and ground attacks with all your buddies beside you and still playing online is just intense !!

It seems like everyone seems to be so excited for Warhawk, but I for one played the BETA and wasn't that impressed. Apart from the glitchyness which will presumably be fixed before release it still wasn't a great game. The graphics at least on foot aren't very impressive, sixaxis isn't as easy (or fun) to use as it would appear, and gunfights flat out don't work. Itt seems to me ssort of like a Battlefront rip off with better vehicles (read: planes) and worse gunfights. Anyone else agree?thetombradyhate

I tend to disagree completely. This game had some excellent sound, the maps were huge, explosions were beautiful, it was fast paced, and the more you played the better you got. If you know how the guns work the gun fights were great. This game did not go for realism, but it doesnt need to. It is a fantastic and frantic third person shooter with room to improve, of course. I also was in the BETA. I had a fun time, and I miss the game....a lot.

Wow, you must've been one of the dudes I kept owning then... that game is going to be awesome! The graphics look pretty good in HD but yea, there will be better looking next gen games. Looks better than Oblivion though, that's for sure.

As for the gameplay, it's awesome. Sixaxis is pretty awesome and easy to use for the Warhawks, didn't like it for the ground vehicles though. You do have the option to only use it for the Warhawks though. And the gameplay in general is just fast paced and fun throughout. I had a couple of friends that made the decision to purchase a PS3 after playing that game... believe me, if you like online games, you'll love it.

No, gunfights were pretty awesome actually. Dogfights were harder than you might think... but once you got a hang of those, they were some of the most satisfying kills.

No, gunfights were pretty awesome actually. Dogfights were harder than you might think... but once you got a hang of those, they were some of the most satisfying kills.

Yeh dog fights were quite hard for me actually until I got a hold of the controls like how to lock on to a target since I was such a noob and took me a few games to figure out :P . Ground play is awesome, the auto target (follow) is nice but you still need to aim in order to get headshots and such.

Never played the Beta myself, but from a trailer or 2 i can agree with the TC with some points. Such as the graphics, they are not at all Next Gen persay. Though im sure that the gameplay will make up for it since its basically a fully fledged online game. Ill probably try this game, but in all honesty i think it is being overhypednavigata

All, Alright :P . But yes it is lacking in the graphics department and I can agree slightly with the AAA thing. Since it is only online and only a few games have gone there, its hard to gauge how it will fair with consumers. Does it deserve attention ? I guess we all have our opinions on how much and in time we will see if it delievered or got shot down by all the hype.

It's one of the beast games ever. Maybe you don;t like it because you got owned by people like me.

I loved the beta and will be picking it up. I don't need to hype it, I played it.

I think that this game is overhyped. After playing the beta for a day or two I didn't go back to it. I know one thing though, they definitely need to put a melee attack in their. GoldenGlove

I'm wondering if the Blu-Ray will have some load times compared to the straight up download. anyone know?5FingersOfDeath

Good question. I really want that headset, but if it has longer loading times then maybe I will download it. It probably won't though since it will probably install it like how Oblivion does.
