[QUOTE="RatchetClankPuz"]Game is **** AWFUL...all they did was make it easy so all the retards could play/buy too....it supposed to be a sequel and they left like 1000 loose ends untied...an absolute disgrace to rpgs. So glad i didnt buy...the dwarves look retarded, as do all the swords and armor, its like a big japanese nightmare now.. AWFUL..the only good rpg for ps3 just went down the ****IAMTHEVIPQUEEN
interestingly enough, it did have some sort of Final Fantasy flair to it....at least to me

It had a Final Fantasy XIII flair to it; fast, easy, flashy combat and a story that depended almost completely on its one-sided characters (interesting as they might be).

Check this out for a thorough reason as to why Dragon Age II fell short...Story-wise only.

I enjoyed it...it made some improvements on DA1, but the game has alot of flaws. And I was disappointed with some of the stuff they removed from DA1. But overall it was very fun...And I cant wait until DA3 but I hope they don't rush it.

I was very disappointed with DA2. I felt DAO was the beginning of something great. It was a franchise on the verge of RPG mastery.

Then the put out a simplified action game. Basically Devil May Cry with a shallow plot. Hated the battle system, and the simplification of everything. Bad direction. And absolute disgrace to what it could have and should have been.
That's not evolution, it's the opposite.

No, it's not disappointing. Perhaps not as good as DA:O, but it's still good enough to where I wasn't let down by it.

Yeah it's disappointing, but I only rented it after all the feedback so I knew what I was getting into. The gameplay was fine but they really held too much back on the story. We could've at least had another epilogue slide-show telling us where everybody is & what they're doing, but instead they copped out and simply said they all went their separate ways... and then the game just ends. It felt like only half a game to me after Origins.

Recently playing Planescape this game sickened me with its limited choices and no matter what dialogue it always led to violence.

Wolfetan

Planescape could possibly be the greatest rpg of ALL TIME. DAO isn't even in the same league as that. And DA2, well, it's not even in the same stratosphere.
