Ya we like choice. I'm sure that was Hitlers arguement too, "we already have music to set the mood"

Thank God someone else feels this same way. Why do you people what to play your own music over the game's music??? I just don't get it. Turn your ipod on or something. Playing your own music over the game just ruins it. Think of playing MGS4 with your own music....where's the suspense......where's the surprise music when an enemy jumps out or something? This is really weird to me.

Don't be so daft, people want custom soundtracks for games with soundtracks that consist purely of play lists i.e. sports games, don't be so ignorant and blinkered in the future

Ignorant???? First of all, there's no sense in coming on this forum calling someone you don't know, ingnorant. Second, I said I don't understand. I didn't call the idea stupid, "ignorant", or dumb. I was just looking for a point of doing this. What's the benefit? I'm not the only one on this forum that feels this way. So before you come on this thread calling me ignorant....maybe you should read a little more. Maybe you should even call Sony themselves and call them "ignorant" for not allowing you to play your own "custom" game soundtracks...because seems like they don't see the point in the idea either.
I think its more possible we'll be getting 1.94:|zelramI already have 1.94. It came with Ratchet Future. If you are getting Ratchet first day, dont download it, just get it from the disc of Ratchet. It's faster.

Here's why I would do it.... so i can set my own mood. I would first turn off the music in the game, which is very simple to do, then I would go to the XMB, and turn on my own playlist, called FPS Rampage... yes i have a name for it already. Basically this will be the music I like to listen to while pwning noobs in CoD4 or Haze or Unreal.... setting my OWN mood. Of course I won't do it over MGS4.... because yea that wouldn't make sense... but while playing my games online, I will play my own music, because it gets me in the mood.
Also, it's not called custom game soundtrack..... it's called background music.

That's a good answer and you did it without coming on here insulting anyone. Everyone is entilted to their own opinion and your points are valid. I didn't call them "custom soundtrack", 814stopstoday did that.

The worst offenders are the sports/racing games with liscenced music, which is almost exclusively horrible. I don't think I'm in the minority when I say that Snoop Dogg's title track for GT3 didn't do crap for the "mood." And I have about 60 gigs worth of songs that are more Burnout worthy than anything EA has stuck in there over the years.
the email that you received about the v2.0 is for the TOS agreement and not for a firmware
the stuff that Kotaku is talking about is coming from a "dedicated reader" which means in no way is it true
dstryr13
Yeah, I guess nobody took the time to read some of the red stuff, it was all regarding the PS Eye Toy and the EyeCreate tool.

wtf is wrong with you? how does hitler have anything to do with him wanting the option to have in-game music.

[QUOTE="americahellyeah"]lol, you guys are funny. that "2.00" update, was just an updated TOS for the PSN. nothing more.BlueShine

I'm taking the wait and see approach, this isn't the first time we've all been excited. With the promise of the 2.0 update.
