Weekly Tournaments at Vita Clubs

Found this info while looking for updates on the Playstation site:

Feeling competitive? Sign up for a tournament at the club and play against other members. You can even sign up a bunch of friends and create your own tournament, just ask at the club for details.

They started last week, and the next one is coming up this Sunday 1/29. Has anyone participated in these at all?

What club? I think that sounds interesting, but I'd only do that if it was a game like Socom (Unit 13 maybe?).
