I just dont understand all this hype for rumble functionality. Its been in consoles since N64, its nothing new. I didnt even really notice the lack of rumble in my sixaxis....

Yeah it's really awesome, and is different than the rumble in DS2. Much nicer feel rather than rumbling plastic. Really immerses me in the experience.

It's not just the rumble. I got mine after my sixaxis started acting weird and I must say, the DS3 feels better. The weight is perfect, not too heavy and the analog sticks move much easier and seem more fluid. I think it's worth it and love it.

My imported one from PlayAsia arrived on Christmas Eve, and I love it. I got used to not having rumble, but I just like the weight of the DS3.

How heavy is the dual shock 3? Is it lighter than the PS2 dual shock 2 controller?

To me it feels like holding a Dualshock 2 (except wireless), which is why I felt more comfortable with it.

The greatest controller known to mankind. It's not because of the rumble, rather because the extra heft (weight) it has compared to the SIXAXIS makes it feel solid and indestructable while the SIXAXIS feels flimsy - I'm always worried about appyling too much pressure to one of my SIXAXIS controllers and breaking them. All Dualshock controllers fit my hands perfectly, so the sturdiness + motion controls + rumble of the Dualshock 3 make it the greatest controller ever in my opinion.

geimusa

I wouldn't say it's heavy, rather very sturdy - it feels as if though it could withstand a lot of damage.

I heard some people say DS3 won't have the sixaxis feature, but some gaming websites claim that DS3 is packed with RUMBLE and SIXAXIS. Which is true?

It has rumble and six-axis. It's true, I have it. It also says right on the controller, DUALSHOCK 3 and right beneath SIXAXIS.

The Dualshock 3 is hardly new in any sense, considering it hasn't come out in america yet and it has been out in japan for who knows, 10 months?

But its a great controller and I will probably get another one (this time from walmart to spare myself the shipping costs) and use my sixaxis to make a PS360 controller or try to anyways

Why'd youo import it if it is coming out in 5 days? your glory has been short lived

the only excuse is that you got the silver or white ones

I got mine from my local Gamestop last Saturday and I live in NJ - it's already out in the US.

Imported a couple in November, I wouldn't go back to the SixAxis ever.
