Asked my mom if she would purchase half of the 80gb for my birthday. I bought the other half. She also got uncharted ^_^Ultima_5

A great friend of mine sponsored me a $100 then I sold my Ps2 and my schwinn stingray chopper bike :cry:

yeap, and my dad paid the rest of the amount. :P

i had to wait till 1pm(thats when my parents go shopping, well somewhere around that time lol)

we left, first we went to the store to get the ps3

we entered, i started looking for the R2 bundle but couldn't find it. i asked the store guy where R2 bundle is he sed they didn't have it!! so i asked what bundles did they have then? he sed motorstorm 2 bundle(which was sold out!!! could ofcourse i could preorder it but that would take to long, i wanted my ps3 now!), LBP bundle and singstar bundle. so i picked the LBP one. then he sed they migh not have it! then i got scared because i really didn't want to get that stupid singstar! so he checked in the computer, and sed i'm in luck they still had ONE bundle left(just my luck lol i'm getting the last one), thank god i though, im saved! then to my surprise he asked what other game do you want to get with it?(i didn't know you could pick another game for free) i sed resistance 2. so he put everything on the table(or whateva its called lol) and once we were going to pay the bloody phone went off! he was talking there for like 10 minutes! it sounded like there is some old grandma that ceeps asking questions! jeez i alomst fell asleep. then we finally payed and left the store.

then we went to other stores to buy foodproducts and stuff like that. god i hate shopping, it always take so long and its soooo boring.

3-4 pm we finally got home and i finally got the chance to play resistance 2 on my new 80GB ps3 :)

After getting my second refurbed 360 back i sold it, most of my games and accessories for the ps3 while in a fit of rage. I was still short and metal gear was still on the horizon.So my brother gave me the money for the purchase since he loaned my bass guitar to his friend and his friend split with it. Finally i had my twenty gig ps3 within my grasp.

I had a wii and never played it. It got to the point where looking at the thing pissed me off, there jus twasnt any fantastic games for it. I had no more heros, mario, all that **** and i couldnt finish a single one.

anyway a friend of mine has younger sisters so his mom bought my wii off of me for 175 then paid twenty bucks a pop for a few of my games (i had several- trust me i tried hard to enjoy the thing), then i took the rest of my video game botique to gamestop with the money i got from her. I sold everything- my ps2 and games, my phat psp and games, all my accessories. in the end of it all, i paid 90 bones outta the cash that i got from my friends mom for my ps3 and a copy of GTA4, so it was basically a steal. i put a 250 gig hd in it and have about 80 gigs worth of albums and maybe 300 or so movies(some of which on an extermnal, my ps3 is full). its a media powerhouse, i love it, and i havent looked back since i bought it...

and all of that just to play a game in which i can do anything...... :)

So I was really hyped for buying a PS3 at launch which would be my first time getting a console at launch myself (parents got me and my bro a dreamcast but i digress)

I was planning on buying two of them, keeping one and selling the other. So I hatched a plan with my best gaming friend, the wal-mart in town was supposed to get quite a few of them and sell them @ midnight. So I figured that we'd camp out there and get the one there and then the Target in the next town over wasn't going to let people line up till 6 AM on the 17th so I could wait in line at wal-mart get my ps3 and then head over to Target and get another one.

I had another friend staking out wal-mart to make sure no one had lined up yet, it was the 15th and I didnt want to have to commit to camping out just yet (school) so I was having em drive by the place to make sure no one was there. Then I call wal-mart to double check how many they are getting and they tell me people have already started lining up but inside the store by the layaway area. I panicked and quickly got all the things I would need (dvd player, PSP, ipod, etc) and told my mom what I was doing much to her shagrin.

My friend backed out at the last minute because the wal-mart we were going to didnt get as many as they thought they would so he didnt want to camp out that long so I took off and arrived 8th in line. The cutoff point for available ps3s the store was supposed to get 12 so the other 4 who showed up had to get rain checks.

So I was there waiting in line and my dad calls me and asks me what the plan was so I told him that I would have to stay there that night and the entire next day then head off to target. So he tells me that he'll stay in line for the night so i can sleep and then head back there in the morning and then I'd stay there for the rest of the day. FYI my dad is freakin awesome. So I head over there the next day and resume my place in line. I am there with a batch of characters pulled from a children's novel.

There was the evil hick family (first three people in line who were there just to buy them and resell them) the gaming couple (young guy and girl who were waiting) the village idiot who was there for his boss, The young gamer like myself and the 20 somethings I game but I don't sound like I know anything about it.

Well for the first day at least, the other 4 were quite fun too but more on that later. We talked about what games we were gonna get we watched movies, listened to out ipods, etc. And then about mid-afternoon the village idiot decided he was gonna open items and use them and then put them back and constantly leave the line and be gone for hours at a time. Which was completely unfair to everyone else who only left to go get food or go to the bathroom. So the store manager eventually gets into an argument with the guy and the guy says something really smart and the manager throws the guy out of the store (we were so happy we almost let it show while the guy was being escorted out it was golden to say the least.

Later on an older lady complained about us because she couldn't get down the aisle we were on. And complained that there were squatters in walmart That also made us chuckle quite a bit. At one point we even came up with an idea to make everyone think we were waiting in line for the new beanie babies that were coming out or the new harry potter book.

As it got closer to midnight the more anxious we became. And by that time 4 other people had arrived, there was the black couple, some guy and a mom looking to get her son a gift they were nice and we were joking (I guess young gamer had buried his PSX when it died LMAO) And finally when midnight struck I got my ps3 with RFoM.

But stupid target decided to let people line up so my only chance at a 2nd ps3 was Fred Meyer which was having a raffle @ 6 AM. So my dad showed up and we slept in the car until about 5 or so then we waited and then got our tickets but failed in getting the winning ticket (only 6 were available) so having at least gotten one ps3.

I then started home and arrived at about 7:30 and my mom as a result of me missing class on thusday made me go to school where on 3 hours of sleep I went and bragged to anyone and everyone that I was the only person in school or town that owned a PS3!

Its also the day I stopped eating McDonalds because I had to eat it for four meals in a row and that is just something no human being should have to do. And I haven't had anything mickyd related since.

So that is my PS3 story sorry for the short novel but its actually one of the most fun times I will ever have waiting in line. And after two plus years with its one of the best purchases I've ever made.

My mom wanted me to go to a new school for the 7th grade so I had to pass the entrance exam which was hard I failed it twice so my mom motivated me by promising a PS3 so after that promise I passed the exam and got my PS3.

You have no idea how scared I was. Toronto is a scary place.

I actually got up @ 4:30AM hopped on the first orange line train in boston went to sony style store only to find out they had less than 20 systems and i was not in line soon enuff. Went to ebgames and yea people were so far lined up it was outside.

Waited until Dec to purchase it online it arrived 12/27/06 and i was an intern at the time so i had vacation and played sleepless nights. That same day i got it i went out and bought madden and omfg i loved it got a fumble, pic, returned td and punt (all aganist the AI) but of course i loved it. As of now it has almost been a week since i played but overall it was worth it. I shall be home playing on the anniversary on sat/sun.
