[QUOTE="2beers_in_hand"]I agree Sony should just get the word out that you can upgrade the HDD in your PS3 if you want to. Hell I think it should say that on every PS3 box in giant letters that are pink so you couldn't miss them.Keasy4
it already is

Yeah Ive seen a couple of video's about upgrading your hard drive. Still Sony needs to get the word out about how easy it is to do to inform the unsuspecting masses. Beside us fans of the PS3 how many people really know you can do that. Its not like they will tell that if you go to a game store or a place like BestBuy there just as uninformed and clueless.yeah i have 200GB for my PS3
so actually the PS3 is has unlimited GBs on the other hand the 360 doesnt hehe
so the point is, im very happy with my PS3 overall :D
At this point I really do not belive in anything that has to do with console news until I see the item at hand in a local electronics store tbh, there's just too many rumours out there, and there's too easy to create a new one. The latter which a lot of blog sites/"news" sites has done in this console release just to get some buzz on their site.
I personally belive in logic, I know it's kinda stupid, but I can only see one reason why Sony would put out a new SKU with a hdd upgrade and nothing more, and that would be that they could insert one in the ps3 without it really costing anything more, and in later stages "kill" the ps3-60Gb range and use the ps3+ as a new standard.
Other than that I really can't see why they would put one out on sale, it's more likely imo that sony mekes a custom hdd for the ps3, if anything imo.
