I usually buy new games, but I never regret it. When it comes to used games, I always end up hating the game. But I was wondering what do you guys/gals buy when it comes to video games and video game accessories?
Wow, I thought I was the only one who ever said/wrote (no sirree bob). Kinda agree, "one man's trash is another man's treasure" was never too signicant.
i usually buy used ones because here in my country (peru) new ones cost $120, used games cost between $50 - $70. Ofcourse if its a good game ill buy it new, like MGS4 wich was well spended.

used. I bought metal gear 4 used and it was 20 dollars less than it was new. Blu-Ray discs are virtually unscratchable. The only difference is the wrapper

I donno, 50/50? Like when I was going to pick up Disgaea 3 from EB games I saw it new, 49.99. I looked at the used section and saw 2. One was 39.99 and there was another for 24.99 and I guess they incorrectly labeled that one. So I bought it. And it seems like the person who previously owned it barely touched it. The CD was like new, it still had the instruction booklets and the box was perfectly fine. Sometimes used is good.

almost everything is used. cept for games that i really want or games that really deserve it. ie. mgs4 hell my ps3 was bought new during launch. nd my xbox is used =P
i tried to buy used games....but every time i go to buy a used game I end up with a new one....the problem is that i just can't find a used game that i was searching 4 (((:cry:

I KNOW!!! another one that was ridiculous... (i didn't buy it a friend did though) is he found Socom Confrontation w/ the headset bundled for 14.99!... he looks over and asked.. "is that a good deal?" i almost yelled "ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING!? SHUT UP AND BUY IT!" lol..

Mostly new ones. If I can find interesting used game then I will buy it and if it is much cheaper than new one. Gamestop is charging waaayyyy too much at used games! Mostly you can buy new copy if you put +5e more. I've seen that used games are even 20e more expensive than new one!
I buy new, but the high prices of games today coupled with readily available used games are hurting developers. For example, say 1 million people bought uncharted, while 2 million have probably played it.
New games just do not worry me. I have purchased a few used older games and have had no problems with them. Just like taking the wrapping off and looking at the shining disc.
Most of the time, except if i get a gift, i buy used games on Ebay and such.... i play them through, then i sell them back, for pretty much the same price :)
I mean, a used game is a used game :) I never had any trouble with a used game ever! Always worked great!
This is the first gen I buy used copies. The main reason is because I can get 2 and the 3rd one comes free and since Blu-ray doesn't scratch easily my collection looks like it's new. Now the big game I buy on release are obviously new like MGS4,LBP, etc.
Depends for me I suppose. I usually buy new, but there is an occasion here and there I'll go with used. Gamestop is the best at handling used games and trade-ins though.
