I found this store that buys and sells used games for great prices. It is a local store, and for instance, if the game is a brand new release and someone sells it to them, they instantly take off $15 from the retail price. So I can get a new used game for $45 at the highest, sometimes lower. Safe to say I go there often.

I buy mostly used games. $60 is a high price for some games that don't really deserve that price tag.

If the used game comes with it's original case, and has no scratches, I'll buy used. Another factor is whether or not buying used saves me more than $5. If so, I'll buy it new.

Always used. Saving $10 per game with an Edge card at Gamestop adds up. I only bought Socom new because of the headset.

New games are usually my only option. The used game market isn't very big around these parts.

Depends. I buy a game brand new if I've been waiting for it before it's release date.

I buy new, but have bought used games. More often I wait for games I want to be released on greatest hits.

I usually end up buying new games on sale... I rarely pay full price for a game... Which means I don't really buy games too often, and when I do they come in small bunches. I used to buy used games during Gamestop's buy 2 get 1 free deal... That ended up being pretty solid, but I haven't done that since my PS2 days.

Depends for me I suppose. I usually buy new, but there is an occasion here and there I'll go with used. Gamestop is the best at handling used games and trade-ins though.

thats true I work at EB Games and we either don't take extremely scratched discs or we charge 2$ extra for refurb. It does happen that a disc doesn't work, but that happens mostly with 360 and ps2 games.

New 99% of the time, out of the current gen consoles I have only one used game (Kirby: Canvas Curse). And if I go into gamestop I make sure to ask for a shrinkwrapped copy :D

Pretty much always new. I only get used if they don't have any new copies and I REALLY want the game.

NEW because for an extra $5 you get the complete case, manuel, and 100% scratch-free disc that doesnt smell like the end of a cigarette butt :-). HOWEVER, if its a game that I'm not 100% for sure that I'd like it, like Resistance 2 or LBP, then I get it USED so that I can return it if I don't like it.

If it's a great (and recent) game I will buy it new. If it's an average or older game I'll usually pick it up 2nd hand off ebay and then put it back on there when I'm done.

It really all comes down to how much money ill be saving if I buy it used. If the new game is only $5 more ill buy it, but if the new game is like $20 more ill go with the used copy.
