Hi guys. I'm interested in buying a FPS which gives me a good experience online and offline. To be honest, the only FPS I've played is halo 2 (Which I must admit is good) and I like to play something good. What do you recommend me to buy? I appreciate your advice !!

its great for its single player and that will last you a long time but team fortress online has a lot of issues.

S*** forgot ResistanceFOM that game is tha ish!!! The games a bit old but the SP in it is the best/longest fps title I've played on the PS3 to date. The online community isnt as packed as COD4 but you can still find a match to join with ease and the modes it offer are quite fun. I'd recommend this game to you as well. Yeah, I had COD 4 for 360 and played it for like 30 hours, then when I got my PS3, I got it for PS3, and have played it for 30 hours. Its really fun and addicting.

Get Resistance that way you are up to date with the story and then get Resistance 2 when it releases.

Like most people said they'll praise that game called Call of Duty 4. It's great and all, but hopefully they'll add more stuff besides maps.

Name some because I play this all the time and I haven't seen one yet. I play on both servers, so I would like to see what you come up with. Don't say lag cause it's always going to have some sort of lag in all online games, so please due to tell me.

Run and gun = COD 4 ( can be quite long the singleplayer if you play on veteran...i've just finish veteran mode and it was brutal)

Tactical = rainbow six vegas 1 or 2 or GRAW

well even though you already made your decision on COD4 im not gonna argue that.. but what i will do is warn you about UT3 which some people have been recomending you as well.. online yes its a decent experience.. but single player offers nothing but multiplayer maps with bots... and 3 cinematic scences.. a highly overrated game.. which i no longer play.. but COD4 is great.. although im bored with it recently.. and RSV2 is a great single player and multiplayer experience and with the orange box you'll get your money's worth for hours of gameplay..

buy the regular CoD4 when the game of the year comes out, probably it will have a huge price drop ( specially used) then buy Haze on may 20... OOOHHHHRAH!!!

Yea like everyone says, get COD4. Its currently the 'perfect' FPS to play, no intended sarcasm though. Honestly though, the single player is simply amazing on your first time through. I'm tired of it now but thats because I've been playing some selected missions over and over. Or resistance, single player is decent and longer than COD4. UT3 has a lot of potential just that people don't wish to explore it, meaning not much people are playing them, and the single player sucks.
