I take my games out of my PS3... Isn't this neccessary for safety or something? I need to take the disc out of my Wii when I'm done, but isn't it safer to take the disc out when you're done with a PS3 game too?

Leaving the disc inside your consoles will not harm it in anyway. I've been doing that for 8+ years and have experienced no problem with any of my games.
