What game must die?

none of them should die.... we are sometimes similar and also different in certain aspects... there are games you hate that other people like, and some games you like so much that are crappy to others... if you don't like it, ignore it, don't hope for it to die, give others a chance...

If there's any one series that I hope stops any time soon- it would have to be the Half-life series.

With how Valve's f***ed up the AI ever since Half-life 2, and how their commentary shows that their full of **** when it comes to AI- I think the series should die after episode 3- unless Valve can get their act straight with AI.

With how Valve's f***ed up the AI ever since Half-life 2, and how their commentary shows that their full of **** when it comes to AI- I think the series should die after episode 3- unless Valve can get their act straight with AI.

GTA should have died after San Andreas and now needs to die or be destroyed.

GUITAR HERO, I loved one and two but three ruined it and now they're just trying to milk it for all it's worth with these band-centered games. Metallica??? I'm one of like, four hard rock/metal fans that I know that doesn't like Metallica. Since I'm on music, NICKELBACK needs to die too.

The Sonic games are still great.

I don't think World of Warcraft should die, I just think Blizzard shouldn't release anymore expansions. The game was so much better before Burning Crusade.

Other than that, I don't think there are any game series that I think must die. Except for the browser game Adventure Quest, they've made different versions of that like the recent Adventure Quest Worlds which plays like an MMO. I know it's a free browser game, but god does it suck, quite possibly the worst RPG I've ever played.

Personally I don't think Mario, Sonic, or even Halo die I like having my video icons/mascots from their respective systems around; just stop the whoring of them and all will be good. :)

I'm not a fan of milking a franchise, therefore I'd like to see a lot of them end, since so many of them are milked for money.

Franchises that need to end:

• Metal Gear Solid (Snake finally had his proper ending, so end the franchise with it)

• Halo (It's sad to hear that the only game my friend talks about coming out next year for his 360 are 2 halo games, overall the franchise is ridiculously overrated, good and fun at times! but just way overrated - and with 2 more games, its just being milked, the games could be utter crap but I wouldn't be surprised if it still sold 6 million copies, just because of the name)

• Sonic (I had fun with you on my Genesis, way back when, oh the good ol' days, seriously though, you should have quit after Sonic 3)

• Mario (No one in the gaming world has been milked as much as Mario, honestly Nintendo needs to get themselves a new mascot, and stop living off the 80's)

Interestingly enough all four of these are major mascots for their respective consoles/companies. Although MGS isn't as much of an icon as the others, seeing as PS doesn't really have 1 major icon anymore, like it used to in the PS1 days.

Other Franchises:

• Pokemon(Cause Nintendo keeps getting my money for their handhelds because of this franchise, its the only reason I bought a DS ... and the GBA ... and the GB, omg how sad, but the games are fun! But this franchise is milked like crazy)

• Madden(The sole reason I've hated EA for the past 4 years, paying 60 dollars for a slight upgrade in textures, random (but not revolutionary features) and a roster change)
