Well when I was a kid contra and the original castlevania (frankenstein was a real pain in the ass in that game)really got me going. Then games like FF, super mario 3 got me hooked for good. Whats weird is I dont even play FF anymore or mario games.

yes, Super Mario Bros. was the first game I played and played and played and played (you get the idea) also with duck hunt and on the computer was Maniac Mansion!!
PC - Escape from monkey island I would have to say..maybe another game but this is the first game i remember sparking my interest and the potential that games have. Its gameplay for the time was amazing!! 8)
Halo was the first real game that made me a gamer. Got it right after I got my Xbox (and no I'm not an Xbox fanboy, I own a PS3 too so...) like 6 years ago. I was 7 years old when I got it, and me and my bro had a blast killing eachother all day. We had nothing else to do as everything piece of electronics we owned was crap, so we played Halo for hours on end. Before that, I would play Doom on the PC when I was around 4 or 5, but Halo was the one that really blew me away.
i remember when i was about 9 or 10 i kept playin it on ps1 and and it was so hard for me but know i could complete the hole game in about an hour:lol:
my first real experience was playing 'kung fu' in the arcades in the mid 80's, then i saw it was on the NES,so the following xmas 1 lucky little boy got himself a NES with 'kung fu' (with the old school 8 bit covers...sweet) and 'castlevania'....never finished either of them, even to this day i haven't even beaten castlevania on the VC :(
wile i played many old the one game that made me crazy about gaming and really showed me were games were going was the grate mgs 1 on the ps one! a true cl_assic that will never die!
Mega Man 2 for the NES. I had Mario and Metal Gear (The original), but they werent special to me and i was a casual, watching Nickelodeon most of the time when it was actually worth watching. But once i got Mega Man 2 i was hooked. Mega Man was different and better than the games i played before it. I must have been around 8 years old.
