What games are you getting for the rest of this year?

Hey guys I just wanna see what games you guys are gonna buy for the rest of this year and its a good way to see what everyone's taste are for the ps3.

Well here's my game list and reasons why. :]

1. Oblivion Game of the Year edition-At first I was skeptical about this game always wanting to get it and try it out but than there was another part of me that said ahhh not worth it... Till I found out about the game of the year edition that will have more content all for the same price of a regular game. It's time I try it out right?

2. Lair- Well I been waiting for another dragon game better be this one right? Though if this game does get bad reviews I am not gonna get it at all. However, from the videos and previews, the game is looking real nice. I hope this game will live up to the hype and go into my ps3 game collection.

3. AssasinsCreed- Well let see here whats better than finally being a full fledge medieval assasin in a free roaming game? Well a lot of things but you get the point. Anyways I been wanting to get this game ever since it was announce with the cool features and qualities. This game is definately on my "to get list" no matter what the reviews are. (Even if it gets a 1.0 less likely though :])

4. Heavenly sword- Well I been waiting for another intense hack and slash game that kick ass. This game looks to be all that with a lot more to it. However like lair, I'm gonna wait for the reviews before I finally decide to add it to my list.

5. Folk lore- Well been waiting for another rpg and this one looks promising but I am gonna wait on the reviews.

6. Unreal Tournament 3- Lets face it I need another shooter to play till killzone 2 comes out. Unreal tournament on the ps3 looks like its gonna be crazy game with mind blowing graphics and awesome gameplay. This game is gonna be one of the best shooters for the ps3 for sure.

Not sure if I should consider buying yet

Haze, Uncharted Drakes Fortune, WWE 2008, Cod4 Modern Warfare, GRAW 2, Warhawk...

Well that it for my list so far. There is one thing I can say for sure though is that my wallet will be useless for sometime after this year.

Well considering I've only just bought my ps3, and the only game I have is Enchanted Arms:

On top of that I play a lot of DBZ, Grim Grimoire, and Tekken 5 DR.

Hellgate London CE.

I'll go out and buy UT3 personally but I have a bad feeling about it getting pushed back. Hell majority of the games coming out this year hasn't even been slated to a real date!

I'm foremost waiting for UT3, especially since the PS3's newly announced keyboard/mouse support. I thought I'd be missing out on Halo3 multiplayer without being able to afford the extra bucks for a 360, but now with UT3 I don't care. I put the chance of UT3 being pushed back to really low. Epic seems pretty excited to get this out for both the PC and PS3 at the sametime since they play together and even offer the same online modding support. Who knows though... flaky release dates are all the rage now.

Well, here is a list of games I'm looking forward too and plan on buying.

Warhawk : I can't wait for it. I suck at online games, but I want to play it. Plus a headset, which was the deal breaker.

DW: Gundam: Yes, I know. But its the perfect mix of two franchises.

Lair: Well, I'm gonna try it before I buy it. If its not worth the $60, I'm going to 'buy' it straight from Sony*

Heavenly Sword: Day one purchase. Demo was short, but fun.

Stranglehold Collector's Edition: I played the demo yesterday on my 360. Wow.

Ratchet and Clank: I played the first one and skipped the other three for no reason. Its too late to go back. I need the new one.

Uncharted: I've moved this to the 'buy' from Sony catagory* (BTW, the * means I'll explain later)

CoD 4: Loved the other infinity ward CoDs.

I might be forgetting other stuff, or I'm just thinking about my 360/PC purchases.

Now, for the * explanation. For those who work retail and sell video games, you can go to a website and take quizes about SCEA product and use the points you earn to purchase products. I've already gotten SOCOM: CA, Killzone Liberation, and Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters for free from the site. Microsoft and Nintendo have similar sights, but the Microsoft one costs money (plus you relize how few games they themselves actually release) and Nintendo's is for every quiz, you enter a chance to win something.

Pre-Ordered

1. Heavenly Sword- I love hack and slash action games. I love games with a good story. I love hot protagonists. I respect and admire good art direction and animation. I've been wanting this game since the E3 2006 demo...

2. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune- No question in my mind that this is the most impressive looking title to come out on the PS3 this year. The graphics look REALLY good. Combat and platforming sequences look impressive. Naughty Dog games also usually have good stories. My early contender for PS3 Game of the Year.

3. Unreal Tournament 3- They had me sold once they said optimized Unreal Engine and PS3 timed exclusive. Then Epic and SONY had to go and announce keyboard and mouse support, possible cross platform gameplay, and the ability to use PC mods. EXCELLENT! (Mr. Burns style)

Strongly Considering

1. Tekken Dark Resurrection Online- Let's see...I already own Tekken DR. I love Tekken. I've always wanted to play it online against other top players. This is a dream come true. I will buy as soon as it arrives of PS Store.

2. Warhawk- This looks like the PS3's version of Battlefield 2142...Looks very promising. I will wait for reviews and more importantly, player feedback before committing to it.

3. Army of Two- I loved Gears of War online co-op last winter. It was such an enjoyable experience. I hope this will build on that concept and take it to the next level. Will most definitely buy if replay value is high.

4. Assassins Creed- Everything about this game looks amazing. I'm hoping the PS3 version of this game runs as well as the Xbox 360 version becayseI will NOT support another one of Ubisoft's lazy ports with my money.

5. The Orange Box- Never had the opportunity to play Half Life 2. Looks like a great value.

6. Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction- I want to beat all of the other R&C games before I buy this game. However, if the reviews are 9.0+...I might not have a choice.

7. Lair- Definitely renting because I REALLY want to play this game. Dragons are AWESOME. Will decide whether or not I will buy from my own personal experience with SIXAXIS controls.

8. Rock Band- First I need to see how much money I have left from buying the afforementioned games. Odds are, I'll buy two of the non-bold games, plus everything in bold. If Rock Band is as good as advertised, I might give up a weekend and work a couple of extra shifts to buy the full set.

9. God of War: Chains of Olympus- I have always dreamed of God of War for my PSP. Besides, I need SOMETHING to play on my PSP...Let's hope SONY is smart and releases this game before the end of the year.

10. FIFA 2008- Let's see...FIFA is the biggest franchise in the world. Many Europeans and international buyers bought a PS3 just to play FIFA so there will be plenty of people to play with online. I don't know why, but for the first time, I'm really interested in getting FIFA. Maybe its lost hope that EA Sports would get some version of "football" right.

5. The Orange Box- Never had the opportunity to play Half Life 2. Looks like a great value.

Crap I almost forgot about this. Half Life is so awesome that I cant wait for this. I haven't played the first episode yet, and this new box unveils the next ep. plus a new version of Counterstrike all on next gen consoles! I am sooo loking forward to see what this orange box has.

Lair - Looks innovative enough for me to buy. I'm very intrigued with this, can't wait.

Assassin's creed - Well, I have all PoP games, and I heard that AC will have some PoP elements and that's reason enough.Oh! And it seems to have a kick ass story.

Heavenly Sword - I played the demo and noticed there is much more in the game that you can't realize just playing a demo like that. it has potential and the GOW elements help.

Uncharted - What can I say about this game? My favourite producer is doing it (When i heard it was being made by my beloved Naughty Dog I made my mind immediately)m it has kick ass graphics, kick ass physics and a story that's cool enough.

Ratchet - ....just because I have all the other Ratchet games....:P

Warhawk - Damn this game looks sweet. The way you control it seems to be challenging enough for me to enjoy it for a long time

I'm not sure as of yet. There's a few titles I'm interested in, but I'll probably be waiting until the reviews start coming out. If I do get anything it's like going to be Haze and Heavenly Sword. I'm not that big on multiplayer anymore, but I do like the UT series, so I might pick up UT3.

Assassin's Creed looks really good, but I'll likely be picking that up on the 360.
