I only keep my favorite games EVER. I can part with anything else. I usually do a lot of trading with people towards newer games... it's all about the timeless element I feel after playing something...such as FF7, Ocarina of Time, Earthworm Jim and Silent Hill 2-- I could never get rid of those. As for Batman, it was ridiculously awesome, but after I got my Platinum trophy I don't think I'd ever go back to it (which is why I rented it).
I don't sell/trade my titles anymore.
I use to do it quite a bit until I started to value the quality of the games I owned.
Especially in this hard economic times I don't buy a game on impulses or review score so if it in in my collection, it deserves to be there for many reasons. ;)
sold off fallout 3, oblivion, and Bioshock thinking of selling Batman AA as well. not because i hate it or anything, but for the reason of saving up money for the new releases later on. Games are quite expensive you know(especially if u live in canada)reaver-xJust go over the border and buy your games :P save 10 bucks
I only buy the games that receive good reviews and are replayable. It's usually the ones that have online play... like Modern Warfare or Burnout Paradise, for example. Even when you complete the campaign/story mode, you can still go online and keep playing them.
The rest, I just rent from Blockbuster. $10 for one week. It takes me less than that to run through the whole game anyway... why spend $60?
I sell a game if I know beyond a doubt that I'll never want to play it again. I sold Ghost Busters on ebay for a slightly different reason. After finishing the short story mode and having a lot of trouble getting any online matches, I realized that I'd never get $60 worth of entertainment from it and sold it before its value dropped a lot.
Generally I keep all my games since you get peanuts for trade-in values. There are occasions where I'll go through my games and really have a "heart-to-heart" with myself about if I'll ever play the game again (or likewise if it's something I'd regret trading in after the fact) and go through my library weeding out those titles that have just been collecting dust and have less than a 1% chance of me ever having an interest in playing.I just plat'd batman can't decide if i want to keep it I can sell it for 45 bucks which breaks even since I bought it for 45 bucks.
