Actually this was the point of the thread and I'm glad you're enjoying that game at a discounted rate.I just picked up Ninja Gaidon Sigma used for like 24 $ tax in (coulda got a new copy for 30 tax in but said **** it since bluerays dont scratch ez)
Anyways, perhaps it isn't the point of this threat, but I would have easily dropped full price dollars on this game if I knew it was this good when it first came out.

There was a point in time when Super NES games were going for $64.99 a pop. Then when Dreamcast and PS1 came out the prices dropped. I know it's cheaper to burn a game on a Cd/DVD/Blu-ray than it is to produce a cartridge, but with the inflation factor $65 for a game back in 1992 is alot more now a days.

Actually it has gone down. In the early days of PS2, games were averaging around $80 to $90 (before taxes) here in Canada. That is until they passed this new "thing" (I don't even know what to call it. A law? A bill?) that made games a mandatory price unless it was under special circumstances. Then all standard games were $59.99 and under. Now of coarse, some titles have gone up $10. But it's still less than it was in the early 2k's. That's about 30 ~ 40 shaved off.
I generally wait to pay an appropriate price for a game. I just got Valkyria Chronicles for $31.49... going to start it up tomorrow morning. Even though I haven't played it yet, I'm assuming it's at least worth that price after all the amazing stuff I've heard about it. I don't really buy into hype, but for it to be so well received nowadays by so many people does mean something. It has to at least be worth playing.
Oblivion- a pile of dog turds is all its worth.. :?

Ok, "buddy". Then don't come here and say for a fact that it was a terrible game and it lacks polish. You are the ONLY one I've ever seen that said that, but judging from your point of view, which noticeably is that you can impose your opinion on eeveryone, Dark Sector is a terrible game because of an unknown reason. It IS polished, because if every single game reviewer said so, it's right. Those people understand more about entertainment software than you and I.Leon_Kennedy1
hey hey hey hey .. :)
you need to accept other people opinions you know, you like DS and some other dude hates it, it aint going to change a thing to you, is it ?
You don't really understand... If he doesn't like the game, that's one thing, but he can't say that it's not polished, because it's a fact: Dark Sector is polished. He's trying to tell me that his opinion means something, but the truth is, it's polished. So in the long run, his opinion doesn't really mean anything.[QUOTE="Leon_Kennedy1"][QUOTE="A-l-g-r-e-n"]

So the average price of a new game there is $70?Well, only certain titles for some reason. I think the guys in the States have the same thing. Some are $59.99, some are $69.99. Add 13% tax to that and there you go.
