What if Gamespot gives Metal Gear 4 a crappy score?? o_O

Too good. But why do the mods of this forum not want us to talk about GS's bias? Isn't this a forum? Freedom of speech? The foundation of America?

I could care less if gamespot gives mgs4 a crappy score. I go to metacritic and gamerankings to get the real score. those sites give you a pretty good indication as to how good a game is. Biased sites like gamespot are a blip on the radar. Sometimes gamespot has an on average higher score than most, and a lot of times a much lower score than most. The point is that GS is completely inconsistent, and growing more so. But, honestly, everyone should go to metacritic or gamerankings to get a better idea. Aside from that, rent a game that looks cool to you. It could be that you have completely different tastes from everyone else. yay!

Lets just make our reviews and promote them on the boards.

And kill who ever made the review....

sorry dude but halo 3 is still the most played game on xbox live. CoD4 passed it for a week, but halo was back on top the next week. CoD4 has given it a run for its money, but in no way did CoD4 "erase" it on xbox live, not even close.

its funny u say that because if u look at the scores that gamespot gives ps3 games and compare them to the overall average of all the other sites at gamerankings, gamespot's scores really arent that far off...the only game they gave a really low score compared to everyone else was R&C.

MGS4 will:

1) Be the top selling game on PS3 and surpass Halo 3 sales easily!
2) Oblige other developers and game companies to think a hundred times before releasing their game on the same month of MGS4 release, because simply no other game will be able to compete with MGS4 during its launch period!!
3) Make other games like Splinter Cell and Assassin's Creed look "meh" in terms of graphics, gameplay, story, music, and of course STEALTH.
4) Create CHAOS on launch date, kinda similar to the PS3 launch period back in november 2006! If KONAMI still going to release it "worldwide" and have millions of copies on shelves all around the world, expect MILLIONS of PS3 users and MGS fans getting the game on the first 2 days of its release that is if it doesn't sell out on day 1.
5) Go down in history alongside its predecessors.

MGS 4 could be the best game in the world and halo 3 could be the worst, but it still wouldnt outsell halo 3. Yea it wont surpass Halo no way. Halo was like a freak to gaming. And it stretched on to Halo 3 even. It came in at the perfect time. Nothing was working for micro, yet they had a few users. And when that came. It was like starving men eating a cheap cracker. And add in the online, and it became huge. Because alot of that first base had never played online shooter before, despite the fact that they were already all around. But in the long term 30 years from now. Thats what it will be known as. Not this great game, but the freak game.

Halo 3 to date sold 8.1 million copies worldwide. SONS OF LIBERTY(without counting the substance version) sold over 7 million and back then MGS fan base(7 years ago) wasn't as much as today! Wake up you guys, people who never played MGS games before are getting MGS4! Aren't you noticing the constantly created threads all over the boards "I never played an MGS game, which one do you suggest before getting MGS4". Sony sold over 10.49 million of PS3s and by the time MGS4 comes out a couple of million would have been added to that count! Just imagine the chaos KONAMI would have to face at launch.

Halo 3 won't go further than that in terms of sales for 2 good reasons:

1) The 360 been out for more than 2 years now so whoever wanted the 360 in the past 2 years could now have it because it got cheaper!

2) Halo 3 been out for months now, so whoever wanted it got it already!

Plus, don't forget you have to add those who got Substance to that number when it comes to MGS2.

And you can't compare a 7 years old game to a decent game like Halo 3, specially when MGS fanbase wasn't as mature as today.

Halo fanbase seems to be the same(didn't grow ever since Halo 2 came out) because Halo 2 sold about the same as Halo 3 did.

When MGS4 comes out things are going to be different!

even if GS gives MSG4 a bad score (which they probably will) i doesn't matter anyways, who ever enjoyed the previous MSG games will have a blast playing this one, and not to mention alot of new things added. i predict 8.5 from GS
