If I already have a pant-load of movies converted to MP4s to work on my iPod, can those files be used off my laptop into my PSP? Or is there some further Sony hoop jumping required? And can the syncing be done wirelessly or do I need a cable to do that - Say, USB to whatever the port is on the PSP (don't own one yet but buying this weekend).
The video files need to be .mp4, and mustbe equal to or under 768kbps (the PSP cannot read the memory stick any faster, even with a Mark 2) The aspect ratio should also be 16/9 (or 420x272). Seeing as the iPod screen is tiny and not in the same ratios as the PSP, the same video played on the PSP would probably either sit in the middle of the screen with black gaps on all sides, or it would fill the screen vertically but not horizontally.
The video converter I use is this one. It's one of the best.
You can transfer video files to the PSP via USB mode or putting the memory stick into a port or adapter plugged into your computer. You can also do it via WiFi, but it is quite slow and difficult to set up.

I download the iPod version of "On the Spot" here on GS so they work fine for both. Not sure what resolutions the iPod supports so I can't say all of their mp4s will work. I use a USB cable to do the transfers. It's fast and pretty cheap.
