The End by far is my favorite boss battle.

Favorite boss battle would have to be: Old Snake VS Liquid Ocelot - MGS4.

Favorite boss: Whatever that thing was at the end of the original Contra on NES.

I have so many and most of mine are from the DMC series.lol Here are the ones who come to mind first.

DMC1= Mundas

DMC3= Dantes brother

DMC4= Burieal...I know I'm not spelling his name right but most of you know who I'm talking about!!! lol

This gen: Rex Vs Ray, Solid Vs Liquid and Laughing Octopus

Last gen: All the Colossi from Shadow of the Colossus and several boss fights from Dragon Quest VIII.

All time: Not sure, there were so many great boss battles in Genesis and PSX games that it's hard to decide.

Vergil in DMC3. Fighting him 3 times was awesome as he got progressively stronger each time.parvie

He's my personal favorite too. The second Vergil fight was my favorite in Devil May Cry history--the music, the fact that Vergil Devil Triggers, it's just epic. *Hits up YouTube* I just had to see and hear it again, now that you've got me thinking about it.

Its pretty tough to name a single boss out of all boss-dom :? But a few that come to mind would be

Krauser battle from RE4

Rex vs ray from MGS4, before then its battles like that only existed in a MGS fanatics wet dreams :P

Nemesis when working with Carlos in RE3.

The dante boss in DMC4.

Vegil 2nd battle from DMC3.

the allosaurus from dino crisis 2.

Kreia from KOTOR2

Tichondrious from warcraft 3 Orc campaign, if that counts :P

Annd theres plenty more i'm sure but there the ones that come to mind at this moment.

My favorite boss is by far Viola from Zone Of the Enders.

Edit: Sorry, I was carried away into my gaming memories and I forgot that i'm into the PS3 thread...

Anyway from only a few PS3 titles that I have played, what I enjoyed most, was the sequence with Kai shooting at enemy soldiers, who were trying to kill her father Shen in "Heavenly Sword". And Whiptail, as a persona, from the same game.

Condemned 2 bear chase!!!

Another classic, epic duel. I'd forgotten about that one. As far as mech battles go, that's the win with me. :) Actually all the boss fights in ZOE 2nd had an epic feel about them including the very first one, against Ken Marinaris. And especially when you went up against Leo flying the Vic Viper complete with classic Gradius music...damn near made me cry.
