What is your PS3 GOTY?

Mine is Resistance 2, and I'm going to make a video of it in December.

The runner-up for my GOTY is Metal Gear Solid 4.

MGS4≤R2 IMO

Cool, MGS4 was going to be mine but now Resistance 2 has came along, MGS4 may be better, but I had more fun with this than MGS4.

It's been in my sig since January. :P

MGS4, no contest, as a matter of fact, It'll be Goty, its above all other 2009 releases for the system with the highest standards, The Ps3.

Well from the games that I've played, COD4 is my GOTY so far. But when Resistance 2 comes out here, I'm sure it'll go to the top!hrt_rulz01

Call of Duty 4 came out last year but I believe it recieved a few GOTY awards.

lol there was a poll in xbox360 section for goty game, 1 option was.   a ps3 game MSG4.

so some guys said its MGS4, and 1 guy with gears avatar was like what is mgs4???  i replied, its metal gear solid 4....

ooooh, that game the one with lots of cutscenes. thats no fun, gears is so fun non stop action sure goty !!!

Resistance 2? i can't believe how many people have said that. Its just repetitive with a boring story. O well taste is taste i guess.

Personally i say MGS4 purely because i've never felt so determined to finish a game.

Well it was MGS 4 lol dont get me wrong I love MGS 4 its fantastic. but when Little Big Planet came out... I don't know this is a hard one. LBP is great and all ps3 owners should have it:) trust me its fun. I dont know which game is gonna win game of the year award but it will be either MGS 4 or LBP! one of them will win this year.

First off, here are some notable exclusions:

• Far Cry 2 - bought on PC
• Fallout 3 - bought on PC
• BioShock - year+ old game that I own on the PC

I'm excluding those games from my PS3 GOTY list because I don't have them on the PS3, so those games  are only eligible for my PC GOTY list and my overall GOTY list (BioShock is out of it since it's a year old game).

So, going by what I've played this year on the PS3, I would have to say that, at this point, my preliminary list is:

• Exclusives only - Resistance 2 would be in the lead, followed by (in no order) LBP and MGS4
• Exclusives and multiplats - GTA IV, followed by (in no order) Resistance 2, LBP, MGS4 and maybe a few others that I'm not ready to name.

For the obvious reason that this year is not over yet, I can't commit to my lists.  I can't do that until the last day of this year or the beginning of next year.;)

That's tough .. but for me it's Resistance 2 .. felt the story was much more action filled  .. and online is flawless .. so Resistance 2 wins ..

My view on the chances would be Metal Gear Solid 4 > Little Big Planet > Resistance 2 > Other. Grand Theft Auto 4 or Fallout 3 may interfere with either spots 2 or 3. But MGS4 in my eyes has got PS3 GOTY without a doubt, if not overall GOTY.

I own MGS4, resistance 2, and Little Big Planet.

MGS4 is by far the game of the year, and a game its calibur probably won't be matched again until FFXIII comes along.
