What Is Your Reaction To Losing?

How exactly do you react when you get defeated in a game? Do you keep yourself calm or do you tend to get angry easily?

For me it depends on the game. I mostly do react angry, though. I've gone through several controllers in my life. If I'm in an intense battle, mostly online, I swear and I just want to knock my controller into something but these days I really try not too. I used to. A couple of my controllers still have some marks on the sides.

And of course, some of the more intense options are for when you've gotten yourself killed multiple times. It's more of a question of what's the worst you'll do?

I get so frustrated! I don't give up too easily though. I will practice and hopefully I will do better the next time. When I lose more than 10 times in a row, that's another story.

I'll remain cool althrough my gaming sessions. I never get mad or even angry. From time to time, I'll be dissappointed, not because I've been beat but because my strategy didn't work. But 5 seconds later when I respawn, I'm back at enjoying the game.

I get frustrated after a while if it's a cheap and perfect AI.

Then again, it gets boring if the AI is completely dumb and it's a complete cake walk.

If it's against people, I don't care. I just play for fun anyways.

i get angry only when im trying hard to win and the rest of my team sucks. but most of the time im just trying to get kills.

I broke my controller last night.Stupid @ss tank whores in battlefield.Then I played Mirrors Edge and i couldn't beat a speed run

I hit/smack anything next to me. If it's a person, BAM! Right on their head. If it's a pillow, I throw across the room. I only do that stuff if I died/lost in a really cheap way. Or in an annoying boss battle..

i dont care how many times i die i just lie back, put my feet up, and push try again or start lol i dont realy take games very intensly i have a headset and all but thats just for chatting and that is why i have never had a kill death ratio above 1.0 lol

Cheap deaths are horrible. They get me cookin'.

once or twice or to someone I know is better than I am okay, but if someone gets lucky or I make a mistake I flip out. When I was a kid and used to get stuck on a boss I would cry lol

I actually don't have an ego at all. I am very good at first person shooters and tend to do well while playing online. Also, I don't have a mic at all, so no bragging in your ears. :lol:

Usually I stay a bit calm and sometimes get frustrated, I start cursing a bit if I die a couple of times, and then.. if it continues... well, let's just say it's not pretty...:twisted:

I usually get angry and swear, like playing ninja gaiden. But getting angry at something is not bad, it just means I'll try twice as hard next time. >:D

if its losing once or twice ... thats okay ... if its losing 10 times in a row, or losing a match where the guy had barely any health bar left and I had basically a full one and he some how manages to beat me ... I turn into Hulk!

Its weird though I only get angry during a fighting game ... SFIV and BlazBlue have made me angry sometimes ... navstar29

I try to stay calm at first, but after awhile I get frustrated and start swearing everytime I die.

I laugh at my lack of "skillz" and then play the next game. Losing doesn't bother me. It's more hilarious listening to my friends' reactions.

I'm not used to losing on video games so I usually yell, curse and give the bird to everyone near me.

i dont like to lose in FPS so i get a little frustrated when i lose to some BS bot but if i got mates over im more dittzy and joke alot when i lose to cover my shame

I can't play through a whole chapter in Uncharted on Crushing difficulty without taking a break to maintain my sanity. :P

However, that says more about how difficult Uncharted can be rather than about my reaction to losing.
I'm typically calmer than your average gamer and would never damage any of my stuff regardless of how angry I get.
