What Problems Have You Had With The Playstation 3? Games etc.

The reason I never got an Xbox 360, apart from the fact that I think PS3 will eventually sell more. Is the fact that the Xbox 360 is so unreliable. You only have to go to ebay to have a look at all the Xbox RROD's for sale, or the fact that in the UK companies were actually refusing to take in broken Xbox's simply because they already had too many to repair.

But I've had problems with my PS3. GTA: 4 the game froze, and now Far Cry 2. Unless it's a glitch in Far Cry but when I opened up a briefcase to collect a diamond, I shot into it with a shotgun. The game just froze. The other time was when I was playing COD4 online, twice it's froze.

hmm, most of my problems have been caused by firmware updates. sometimes they cause problems and then soemtimes they fix them.

firmware 2.4 (i think) caused my ps3 to turn itself on randomly in the night

firmware 2.5 - fixed the previous problem

- causes problems in loading of warhawk, sometimes freezes

- made all my pal videos black and white on my sd tv

hopefully the next firmware update will sort out all the problams that 2.5 caused me

My GTA4 froze once.

Fallout had some weird loading time in VATS once; but it hasn't done it again.

I'm not going to discuss Xbox 360 hardware points since the numbers had been speaking for themselves for the last 3 years.

On the games note it's not the PS3 console issues, but the developers. In other words, when you have lag, game freezes, bugs etc.. game developers are the ones that haven't taken care of those issues. It's a software problem.

That includes the game you mention above.

I have never had a single problem with my PS3s hardware.

The only beef I ever had with my PS3 is that all my PS2 games look like crap, and I have the bloody 60GB version!

My first PS3 had the YROD right out of the box. That irritated me since it's always been said to be better than the 360 when it comes to that - and in my experience has had the same number of issues.

However - both the issues I had with the 360 and PS3 were with launch consoles and I have had ZERO problems with either one since then.

Freezes, sometimes it gets hung up during loading which is scary.

Other than having so much troubles with my PSN connection (getting booted off, wont sign on etc.) I have only had one problem. Yesterday I turned on GHWT and all the sound was coming out as noise/feedback (I guess my guitar was too close to my speakers;)) After I restarted the game it worked fine.

I downloaded FIFA 09 demo from the store it started to freeze so i turned the system off, next time i turned the PS3 on my hard drive was corrupted so i called sony and they were fantastic and picked up my old one and gave me a new re-manufactured one. The graphics on this one did not work at all so i Sony came and picked it up again for a new one which i have been using for about 3 months now and is great so far. One problem......i left the Uncharted disk in the last one however without me even asking sony posted back to me a week later the day after i realised it was missing.

Overall my problem was well dealt with by Sony and i have alot of respect for their customer service support. :)

I've had my PS3 for almost a year and its only ever frozen once on Oblivion goty and about 3 times on assasins creed.
