A lot of you are saying some great games and making me remember all that was great about my PS1. I still have all my PS1 games and my PS1 (with Sony screen) but it's different being able to play a game on my PSP. I thought of a few more that I think some people have forgotten:
UmJammer Lammy - This unofficial sequel to PaRappa The Rapper was an absolute blast to play. It helped pave the way for games like Guitar Hero.
Fear Effect/Fear Effect 2: Retro Helix- Some of you have mentioned this series but most people have forgotten all about it. Think Resident Evil meets Blade Runner and you have the right idea. Innovative and great. These games were also the first ones to use Cell-shaded graphics. Awesome!
Vagrant Story - I used to refer to this game as Medievil-Gear Solid. It had RPG elements and it's story was told in a comic book style. The graphics were awesome and the story was very edgy. I would love to play this Squaresoft gem again.
Breath of Fire III/IV - These games were not groundbreaking. They didn't do anyhting special to innovate of push the genre into a new direction. So why are they making my list? Because they were both so damn fun to play! While they were standard RPGs, they had good stories and were a blast.
Tactics Ogre - This is a re-make of a Super Nintnedo title that was only eleased in Japan and then brought out in the US on PS1. It's the precursor to Final Fantasy Tactics and it's part of the Ogre Battle series. This is a game where mature elements and a deep and dark story will keep you playing for hours upon hours. And the strategy involved is DEEP!

I'm with you on Fear Effect and Breath of Fire, but let's see the original Dino Crisis up there as well. I wouldn't mind seeing Vagrant Story either. I had it, never really got into it, ended up trading it in. Would like to give it another go (I also remember seeing it referred to as 'Medievil Gear Solid'. Not sure why though - a similar cinematic quality to its storytelling?).
I refered to Vagrant Story as kind of a Medievil Gear Solid because the graphic style of the game reminded me of it and, yes, because of the storytelling. Granted, there were no cinematic scenes with voiceover, but the story was written out in balloons like out of a comic. To me, it still felt like the makers took certain cues from Metal Gear Solid and applied them to a new action-RPG formula. The results were outstanding.[QUOTE="Business_Fun"]

My abiding memory of the game is a cut-scene right at the beginning, where Ashley corners Sydney Losstarot (sp?) in an old castle. Sydney goes for his sword, gets a crossbow bolt in the chest, but keeps on ticking. I remember being pretty impressed.
I want my tomba and tomba 2. also crash, spyro, legend of dragoon, breath of fire, chrono cross, spider man games from ps.
Actually, Chrono Trigger was released on the Playstation in Final Fantasy Chronicles.
The Mega Man X games would be really nice to have, especially X4.
Nevermind, missed the "new" part (can't edit posts). A new Chrono would be nice if it's like the original. Couldn't stand Chrono Cross. It just didn't have the spirit of the original and didn't feel like it was part of the series.
Okay everyone. Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 2 and 3 are on their way as well as Dino Crisis and some Mega Man games. This is a very good thing. It did make me think of one game I'd love to see come out too. SUPER PUZZLE FIGHTER II TURBO! This puzzle game is every bit as fun as Lumines and Tetris and with the added appeal of Chibi Street Fighter characters. Awesome!!! I'd also like to see POCKET FIGHTER come to us.
